Rondo is a such a sweet boy! He is a goof ball with a big heart. He walks well on a leash and loves to play in the yard. He’s a bit clumsy when trying to catch a ball, but is committed to working on that skill. He is a friendly, slightly shy boy who would love to get out of the crowded shelter. Rondo has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. Story
Meet Freddie our sweet one year old poodle mix. He weighs 15 pounds full grown. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. The vet sent him home with a clean bill of health and is now ready to find a home all his own. He is house trained and goes outside to do his business every couple hours when needed. Inside the home, he's pretty independent and keeps to himself unless you're calling him over for some love and attention. He's not the type to demand affection, but he absolutely soaks it up when it's offered. He is still getting the hang of walking on a leash and building confidence as his previous life as a breeder dog didn't include many outings, so everything is still a little unfamiliar to him but he's making steady progress. He enjoys spending quiet time out in the yard and will happily hang out on his own, especially if he's not quite ready to come inside. He's a bit of a hide and seek pro when he wants to be. Every day he gets a little braver, a little more curious, and a little more confident. He currently sleeps in his crate peacefully at night but I'm sure he would love his own bed next to yours if you prefer. He sleeps soundly through the night and settles in easily when you need to step out. What he needs now is someone with patients and a gentle heart, someone who understands that love and trust take time to grow. He'd thrive in a calm, nurturing home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. His adoption fee is $1500 which covers all vet costs, care and training since the time he's been with us. Get in touch with us today and share details about yourself, the loving home you can provide, and your experience with the breed. Located in Hesperia CA. We offer transportation to you so long as it's covered by the adopter. We will be in contact with you shortly. Thank you!

Story
Courtesy Post – Meet Sarge! Sarge is an adorable 10-month-old white/cream Goldendoodle looking for a new home due to housing challenges his family is facing. Still very much a puppy, Sarge has a sweet, shy nature and lots of playful energy just waiting to blossom in the right home. Sarge is: Up to date on vaccinations Crate trained Friendly with kids and other dogs Allows people to take food and toys away from him Still learning about house training (potty training is currently unknown) Sarge behaves happily but shyly when meeting new people. Once he warms up, he’s a loving companion who just wants to be part of the fun. He’s lived both indoors and outdoors, and like many puppies, he occasionally has excited pees when he's especially happy. This smart, sensitive boy would thrive with someone who has the time and patience to continue his training and give him the security and structure he needs to grow into a confident adult dog. Located in West Sacramento, CAFor more information or to meet Sarge, please contact: Angie  (916) 502-3559 angiegonzalez2017@yahoo.com Please note: Sarge is not at the shelter. This is a courtesy post to help him find a safe and loving home. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
Courtesy Post: Teddy Needs a Loving Home Meet Teddy, a cream-colored Goldendoodle looking for a loving, patient home. She has been with her current family for five years after being adopted from a relative. While she is a wonderful companion, her family feels she would do best in a home without children due to her sensitivity to certain triggers. About Teddy: Breed: Goldendoodle Age: 8 years old (Born November 2015) Gender: Female (spayed) Temperament: Affectionate, snuggly, and loving Potty Trained: Yes Training: Knows basic commands, crate trained, and follows household routines Activity Level: Enjoys playing fetch, going on walks, car rides, and being with her people Other Pets: Does well with dogs but does not actively engage in play. Has not lived with cats but may adjust to a calm cat Allergies: Requires daily medication and a chicken-free diet (currently on Purina Pro Plan Salmon & Rice) Separation Anxiety: Can become anxious when left alone but responds well to structure and treats Grooming: Needs Trazodone for vet visits and grooming due to anxiety Ideal Home for Teddy: Teddy would thrive in a calm, adult-only home where she can be a loyal companion. She needs an owner who understands her boundaries and is willing to work with her on her specific triggers. She loves to be close to her people, preferably cuddled up on the couch. Challenges & Considerations: While Teddy is loving and affectionate, she has shown reactivity in specific situations: Resource Guarding: If someone tries to take a non-toy object from her mouth, she may nip. This is managed by trading the item for a treat and using commands like 'sit' and 'drop it.' Handling Sensitivities: Teddy does not like her feet or mouth being touched. She also does not tolerate being force-fed pills and must take medication in food or treats. Reactivity to Pain: If accidentally injured (e.g., foot stepped on), she may react by nipping. She has bitten in these situations before, but the bites were not severe (puncture wounds but no stitches needed). Strong Reactions to Anger: Teddy does not respond well to forceful handling or raised voices. She needs an owner who uses calm and firm leadership. While Teddy has been friendly with children, her family believes she would do best in a home without kids to avoid any accidental triggers. If you are interested in giving Teddy a loving home, please contact Leanne Wydick at (530) 220-5325 or leanneloof@gmail.com. Please share to help Teddy find the right home! Meet the Perfect Pawsome Pair or Solo! Are you ready to welcome a bundle of joy into your life? Say hello to our lovable litter of adorable pups—our very own Frenchie Doodles or Floodles! Whichever name you choose, one thing’s for sure: they are pure love wrapped in fur. Born on July 29, 2025, these sweethearts are playful, affectionate, and full of life. Their loving Poodle mom was not spayed, which means these little miracles came into the world unexpected. Dad was a French Bull dog. Remember, spaying and neutering your pets helps control the pet population—please consider it for your furry friends! Meet Abby—our tiniest girl at just 4.4 pounds! She’s a playful, spirited pup who loves to wrestle, play, and cuddle with her littermates. She’s already off to a great start with potty training and is eager to learn leash training once she’s fully vaccinated. Abby has been microchipped, flea-treated, dewormed, and has received her first two puppy vaccinations—she just needs two more to be all set for her forever family. Abby and her siblings—Archie, Annie, and Alanna—are searching for homes where they can grow, play, and be loved unconditionally. They adore kids, enjoy car rides, and are sure to bring endless joy and pitter-patter of puppy paws into your life. Are you ready to open your heart and home to these delightful pups? Abby is waiting to bring happiness and love into your world. Adopt, adore, and cherish these little bundles of joy!
