Story
Life hasn't always been easy for Finch. Found wandering as a stray, this 43 lb Standard Poodle has had a rough go of it. He arrived here completely matted and with a double ear infection. We acted quickly to remove all the painful matting and take care of his ears, so now he's looking a little bald but he's feeling much better. He is ready to leave his past behind and find a soft place to land. At 2-3 years old Finch is the perfect age. He is past the chaotic puppy teething stage but still has plenty of youthful energy. While his coat is short now, we hope to find a home for him where his new owners will be diligent to keep him groomed so he can remain pain-free and handsome. We have vaccinated, microchipped him, and neutered him. If you're ready to meet him, go to www.petsnpals.org and submit an adoption application! $350 adoption fee helps with some of the costs of caring for him here. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

To apply or learn more, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2026/2/12/guapo Meet adoptable Guapo! Guapo is a 4-month-old Husky poodle mix puppy who was surrendered to us after an accidental litter. His previous family loved him dearly but lived in a very small apartment and wanted a bigger, brighter future for this special boy. At about 25 lbs, Guapo is already showing how smart and observant he is. He figured out how to climb spiral stairs at a very young age (seriously impressive!) and loves finding cozy high spots where he can nap and watch the world go by. Guapo is a sweet, shy, sensitive soul who takes a little time to warm up—but once he feels safe, his adorable personality starts to shine. He is gentle, calm, and surprisingly quiet (we haven’t even heard him bark yet!). He has lived happily with children, cats, and other animals of all sizes and does wonderfully when he has companionship around him. Because he’s still gaining confidence, Guapo would thrive in a home that can: • Be patient and help him continue building confidence • Spend lots of time with him (he loves having company!) • Provide a stable, loving environment where he can blossom This smart, gentle boy is ready to leave apartment life behind and find a family to grow up with. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving pup who will bond deeply with his people, Guapo may be your perfect match Adoption Donation $550 includes neuter, vaccinations, microchip heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more! Story
Meet Freddie our sweet one year old poodle mix. He weighs 15 pounds full grown. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. The vet sent him home with a clean bill of health and is now ready to find a home all his own. He is house trained and goes outside to do his business every couple hours when needed. Inside the home, he's pretty independent and keeps to himself unless you're calling him over for some love and attention. He's not the type to demand affection, but he absolutely soaks it up when it's offered. He is still getting the hang of walking on a leash and building confidence as his previous life as a breeder dog didn't include many outings, so everything is still a little unfamiliar to him but he's making steady progress. He enjoys spending quiet time out in the yard and will happily hang out on his own, especially if he's not quite ready to come inside. He's a bit of a hide and seek pro when he wants to be. Every day he gets a little braver, a little more curious, and a little more confident. He currently sleeps in his crate peacefully at night but I'm sure he would love his own bed next to yours if you prefer. He sleeps soundly through the night and settles in easily when you need to step out. What he needs now is someone with patients and a gentle heart, someone who understands that love and trust take time to grow. He'd thrive in a calm, nurturing home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. His adoption fee is $1500 which covers all vet costs, care and training since the time he's been with us. Get in touch with us today and share details about yourself, the loving home you can provide, and your experience with the breed. Located in Hesperia CA. We offer transportation to you so long as it's covered by the adopter. We will be in contact with you shortly. Thank you!

Story
Meet Gladys 💞 Gladys is a 2yr old, 48lb Doodle. Gladys is a super sweet girl with a TON on energy. Gladys looooves her people and would like nothing more than to shadow you all day. With that being said, she does not have any separation anxiety. Gladys gets along with all dogs and wants to play, she’s a little intimidating to the smaller dogs cause she doesn’t know her size and energy level. Gladys walks ok on a leash and would benefit from the “Gentle Leader” leash. One thing about Gladys, she is ALWAYS up for the next adventure. Gladys is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date on her rabies vaccine. If you are interested in meeting Gladys, please fill out an application at www.broketailrescue.org, located under the contact tab.

Story
This stunning fellow is named Travis. He is around 8-10 yrs old, weighs 14 lbs and is completely blind, but this doesn’t stop him. We took him to the doggie ophthalmologist but they can’t do anything for his eyes, they said he has been blind his whole life. Travis is really just a big love bug who wants to spend his day in the arms of someone who loves him. He doesn’t play with toys but sure loves to have a little wrestle around time with his person….he gets so excited and does his own version of the zoomies. He was picked up as a stray in terrible condition and brought to our sanctuary. Travis gets along well with other dogs but does prefer females. He is a quiet boy, never complains and is very patient. He does enjoy taking walks and being exercised. He would also be a great stroller dog. Travis is current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and is scheduled to be neutered. Story
Ollie is such a sweet and special boy with a quiet and lovely nature. Ollie is an 1 ½ -year-old, 14-pound wheat-colored Poodle/Chihuahua mix (his mother is a Poodle and dad is a Chihuahua). Ollie is a lovable pup who will need time to adjust to his new surroundings. He thrives best in a calmer environment, ideally with another friendly dog. He loves snuggling up with other dogs, and having a canine companion would be perfect for him! Because of Ollie’s gentle, bashful demeanor, we recommend a home with adults or older teenagers. He may take his time warming up, but once he trusts you, you’ll see his sweet and gentle nature shine through. Ollies does well at the sanctuary using the doggie door to go potty outside, He will benefit from some leash training to help him build confidence. Ollie is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, making him ready for adoption! If you think you can open your heart and home to this sweet boy, come meet Ollie he promises to be an adorable addition to the family. He deserves a warm and loving environment where someone can show him lots of love. Thank you for considering adopting Ollie, he's sure to bring so much joy and companionship to the right home.
