Story
We adopted Cooper when he was a little over 13 weeks. He is fully vaccinated, used to grooming, and has papers. We are unable to keep him with our current home situation. He is playful with other dogs, friendly with people, and listens very well. He knows his name, sit, come, and leave it. He is also crate trained and walks on a leash pretty well. Over all, he loves to play and snuggle.

Story
This is Canelo — a sweet, nearly 7-year-old doodle with a heart full of love and energy to share. Canelo brings life and joy to any home. He’s active (sometimes a bit on the playful side!), but always in a fun, friendly way. He absolutely adores kids and has a gentle, patient nature with them. Whether it’s chasing a ball in the yard, going on walks, or simply being close to his people, Canelo is always ready to be part of the action. He’s house-trained, healthy, and fully up to date on all his vaccinations. What we’ll miss most are his cheerful energy, goofy personality, and the deep loyalty he shows once he bonds with you. We’re hoping to find Canelo a forever home where he can continue to thrive — ideally with a yard to run in and someone who enjoys the outdoors as much as he does. Most of all, we want him to be with someone who will love him like family. If you think you could be that person, we’d love to hear from you. Canelo is ready to bring love, laughter, and plenty of tai

Story
This lovely goldendoodle is Lady, and she was born on November 6, 2023.Lady currently weighs 39 lbs, but shes quite thin right now. We are looking for an adopter who will happily spoil her with high-quality meals and healthy treats to help her gain a little weight and reach her ideal body condition score. Lady came to us with heavy matting on her legs and feet, so we sent her straight to the groomer for a fresh, professional reset. Because doodles have coats that tangle easily, Ladys future family must commit to regular, professional grooming. Its essential for keeping dogs like Lady comfortable, healthy, and looking their best! Lady has a good foundation already- she's housetrained, and she knows how to "sit," "stop," andher personal party trick"dance!" She will happily play with her toys, run around outside, or enjoy a hard-earned nap on her dog bed. She has experience with children, including toddlers as young as 1 year old. She is definitely not a fan of feline friends. She leaves the shelter spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. $350 adoption fee. Apply to adopt Lady today at www.petsnpals.org! Story
Cooper is a 6 month old Goldendoodle puppy who is part energetic part lazy. He’s pretty mellow unless it’s play time but he is a big boy. He’s about 25-30lbs and supposed to be a medium sized dog full grown. He would be fine in a household with small children but they will need to be supervised due to his large size and still being a puppy. We got him from someone else who rehomed him but unfortunately we need to rehome him as well due to us having a small toddler that doesn’t want a big dog near him. Cooper would make a really good dog to someone who can take him for daily walks and then he will just lounge on a cool floor afterwards. We are just not used to having a big dog who requires a lot of grooming and needs more training. An experienced adopter would be preferred.

Story
NOTE: MILLIE IS WITH HER PEOPLE IN SANTA ROSA. GSRSV HAS NOT MET MILLIE. WE ARE LISTING MILLIE ON THIS WEBSITE ALONG WITH OUR OWN DOGS TO GIVE HER MORE ADOPTION EXPOSURE. PLEASE SEE END OF THIS PROFILE FOR CONTACT INFO. "Millie" is a beautiful, 3½-yo, 65-lb, AKC-registered spayed female GSD who is sweet, protective and silly. Millie is healthy, microchipped and up-to-date on core vaccinations. Millie is fine with people who she meets when away from the house, but inside the house she is very protective of her people so they have to put her in her crate when people that she does not know come inside. Her people believe that Millie would do well with someone who has a property where she can run her heart out. Millie used to be OK with children, but recently she had a couple incidents in which she lunged at one of the two kids she lives with (8 & 10 yrs old). The first incident occurred after the older child had handled a friend’s dog, and the second incident occurred after the younger child had handled a friend’s cat. Neither incident resulted in a bite, but it was very scary for all involved. So, a home without children is now in order for Millie. Millie is good with medium & large-size dogs, but NOT with little dogs. She routinely attends a doggy day care where she plays well with the other dogs. Millie has never been around cats and likely would not do well with them. So, we are seeking a home without cats for Millie. Millie is housetrained and is left free to roam inside when her people are gone for several hours. She received formal obedience training when she was a puppy. Millie walks great on a leash and is non-reactive towards other dogs who she sees when on walks. Millie’s off-leash recall could use some improvement. Millie is a calm passenger in a vehicle. She loves to play with balls. Millie’s people purchased her from a breeder in Cotati when she was a puppy. Though Millie is a very valued member of the family, the two near-bite incidents with the children have made it stressful to manage her—keeping doors closed, separating her from visitors, and worrying constantly about kids in the house. The anxiety has become too much for the family, so they are now seeking a new home for Millie. Millie is located in Santa Rosa. Her adoption fee is $100. Story
Maui is a beautiful, sweet, and silly 100lb Double Doodle (her wisdom panel shows 45% Labrador Retriever, 32% Golden Retriever, 22% Poodle, and 1% Flat-Coated Retriever). Maui sleeps in her kennel at night and is great around other dogs of all sizes once proper introductions are done. She adores cats in her current foster home. She has decent leash manners and enjoys going on walks. Maui also has already had an incisional gastropexy, so no future risks of GDV, or “bloat”. If you are interested in meeting Maui, please complete the adoption application. We go through a multi-step process for our dogs that includes meeting at the fosters home, a home inspection, and reference checks.
