Boomer is glad to see you! We don't want to give him up, however the wife's health is no longer up to the task. He's a very happy dog. He's 2 years old we've had him his whole life. He's very loving and cuddly. Still needs hard toys as opposed to anything soft to chew on cuz he just rips soft toys to shreds. He's good with other animals. For example my son's chinchilla and has stayed at my brother's with their dog and cats. He knows how to smell instead of lick something. House trained. Loves walks and hikes. Very well trained for 2 years old. He's a good boy. I hope you can be a good parent to him.

Sugar was rescued from a distant shelter. Sugar was in the streets for over 2 weeks until the shelter was able to get her. She just got her shave down (was matted dirty and had fleas) vet care (exam shave down nail clip vaccines) and a foster home that loves her already. She will never be scared running in the streets hungry or neglected again. Sweetie Sugar is now in her loving foster to adoption home. She is already doing great with their dog ate (loved her food) went to their yard for potty biz and napping. Long busy day of change. Ollie's story starts heartbreakingly, but we hope his next chapter will be wonderful. This sweet boy was found abandoned on the side of a busy road, left alone in a crate during a bitter cold spell. When he arrived, he was shivering, and his coat was matted so heavily that it was causing him significant pain. It was a clear sign that he had been neglected for a long time. Based on the condition of his teeth, we estimate this little guy is about 4 to 5 years old. The first thing we did was give him a full, relieving groom, allowing his sweet personality to shine through without the burden of his painful past. Now, this small, bob-tail, 11-pound companion is ready to leave the cold behind and snuggle into a loving, attentive home. Ollie is looking for a devoted family that understands the importance of consistent care. His new owner must be diligent with regular grooming to ensure he never has to experience that kind of discomfort again. Despite everything, Ollie is gentle and has so much love to give. We have had a thorough vet check and he has luxating patella in his rear legs. It is not severe, but will need to be monitored as he ages and he will likely need arthritis meds. Hi everyone, I’m Bamboo Plant! I’m a 13-year-old neutered Poodle-ish something mix. I’m free of parasites, fully vaccinated and microchipped. I wasn’t taken care of very well before I came to Umbrella of Hope. All my teeth had to be extracted but I’m feeling so much better now. My foster mom says I’m a lovable Poo with a big heart, a sweet soul, and just a tiny jealous streak (especially when other dogs try to steal my spotlight ). Fun facts about me: I’m great on a leash — walkies are my thing! I’m the best co-pilot for car rides. Windows down = ears flying. Bedtime? I’m a pro snuggler. Tuck me in and I’ll snooze like a champ. Treats? Say the word and I’m instantly motivated. I’m well-mannered, mostly potty trained, and I’ve spent my life perfecting the role of “good boy.” I love cuddles, tasty snacks, and soaking up all the attention (sorry, other dogs). I do have KCS otherwise known as Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca, which means dry eye. This is a lifetime issue and I’ll need drops the rest of my life. My foster mom applies drops to both eyes twice a day. I’m a good boy as long as the treats keep coming after I sit for them. I also have a heart murmur but no medicine needed at this time. I will have to see the vet regularly to monitor this. Grooming is getting better on my part. I have to admit I wasn’t cooperating the first time. The noises really scared me. If you adopt me I will need regular grooming appointments every 6-8 weeks to stay as handsome as I am. Oh and more treats!!! Adopt me and I promise you that you will enjoy more daily adventures, cozy naps, and short walks. All I want in return is plenty of love, a cozy bed and plenty of treats. Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and given any additional treatments (dental work, bloodwork etc) as recommended by our vet. Adoptions to veterans of the US Armed Services are ALWAYS free to thank you for your service.
