Do not let his age fool you, this little man has pep in his step and he enjoys a brisk walk. Kiko came to us fearful and underweight from the shelter. Within twenty four hours he was a brand new man! We are supporting him to put on weight and he is good and treat driven. He sits pretty, comes running when called, and is potty trained minus a few accidents early on.Kiko would make a lovely addition to anyone’s home. String Bean entered Bonita Shelter as an emaciated, matted stray who was struggling to stand on his own. After he wasn't claimed, we welcomed him as a Frosted Face on January 6th. String Bean is estimated to be 12 years old and weighs 56 lbs. Despite all he's been through, he is a very sweet and friendly boy. String Bean went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could receive lots of TLC in the comfort of a home while we learned more about him. He is doing so well that his fling has been upgraded to a foster home until he is adopted! His foster mom shares: "String Bean (SB) is so gentle with our little dogs. He sniffs them and goes on his way. He is eating great. SB loves car rides. He is fascinated with looking out the back window. We have learned that SB barks when he needs something. He has let us know he needs to go potty, and that he was hungry. Pretty impressive! SB went to the beach today and could not get enough. To say he loved it is an understatement. He was rocking & rolling on his new wheels! I love seeing him smile! He was the hit at dog beach. I have one happy tired boy tonight!"
