Story
Louie is an easy-going companion in a perfect 15lb curly grey package. He is happy and full of life. He loves to curl-up next to you on the couch and jumps for joy when excited. He gets along with both dogs and cats. He loves to patrol passersby from his perch, a chair overlooking the window - but doesn't bark at anyone. He is very intelligent and has picked up good manners quickly including ignoring other dogs on walks - we have worked on leash reactivity. He's highly treat motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement training.Louie is an active little dude who wakes up with a pep in his step, off to find a toy first thing. He enjoys a long morning walk, eats very well and then settiles in for a nap. Due to his heart condition and collapsed trachea, he coughs about once per day 5-10 seconds but it's well controlled with meds. He needs a harness that won't pull on this upper chest/neck and most step-ins work well. He's been a lovely houseguest: happy to travel in the car, loves to be brushed and although a little uneasy, has done well with grooming.Fill out an adoption application directly on our website at www.lionelslegacy.org

Story
Meet Giji! She is a 1 year old purebred Standard Poodle. We are told she is good with kids and gets along with other dogs. Poodles are energetic, active, and very smart dogs. Meet Cypress! Cypress is around 10 months old and a purebred Rottweiler. She is housetrianed, knows a few commands and loves to go for walks. She is good with other dogs and learning to be respectful around cats. She is a happy, playful, eager girl looking for a family familiar with the Rottweiler breed and ready to continue her training. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Giji then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing. Thank you for joining the Adoption Family with Labs and More Rescue. We are here to help you find a furry companion. You will find our quick and easy adoption application at www.labsandmore.org and click on Adopt. Please email us at I doginfo@labsandmore.org if you need assistance. Thank you for looking to a rescue group to fulfill your dream of adding a new dog to your life! Story
String Bean entered Bonita Shelter as an emaciated, matted stray who was struggling to stand on his own. After he wasn't claimed, we welcomed him as a Frosted Face on January 6th. String Bean is estimated to be 12 years old and weighs 56 lbs. Despite all he's been through, he is a very sweet and friendly boy. String Bean is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn more about him while he enjoys lots of TLC in the comfort of a home. His fling mom shares: "String Bean (SB) is eating great. When he first came home, he explored the inside and outside of the house. SB is so gentle with our littles. He sniffs them and goes on his way. SB is going on multiple walks a day to gain strength back in his back legs. SB loves car rides. On our first car ride home, it felt like he kept checking to see if I was there. On our second car ride to and from the park, he could care less about me and was fascinated with looking out the back window. We have learned that SB barks when he needs something. He has let us know he needs to go potty, and that he was hungry. Pretty impressive! SB went to the beach today and could not get enough. To say he loved it, is an understatement." Check back soon for the next update on how String Bean is blossoming in his fling home. Be sure to watch the videos of him and see how well he is walking at the beach and how much he loves being petted! To meet String Bean, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

Story
Meet Twilight! DOB: December 2019Weight: 12 lbsDisposition: Sweet, Chill, AngelicHistory: Relinquished to the shelter in a filthy, matted condition. Rescued by TBL in January 2026Best Home: Single or couple with a relaxed and calm lifestyle.Amazing Qualities: Twilight is one of the wonderful dogs we recently pulled from a very high-intake shelter in LA. He settled in immediately and has already made plenty of friends in his playgroup. He absolutely adores people—sit down with him for a moment and he’ll press his little body right up against you, clearly determined to maximize cuddle time.Twilight would be a perfect companion for a person or family looking for a gentle, low-key dog who just wants to be close to his people. Because of his size, he won’t be your hiking or jogging buddy, but he’d love leisurely neighborhood strolls. And if you decide to carry him instead, we’re pretty sure he’d be more than happy to tag along wherever you go.Twilight would do well as an only dog or joining an existing pack. His small size and low exercise needs make him a great fit for apartment living, and he should be fine with respectful children who understand he’s a little guy. He truly is the sweetest, and whoever adopts Twilight is going to be over the moon with their new family member. If you're interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website to fill out an adoption application: www.thebarkinglot.net/adoptOur dogs are located in San Diego County, CA. We will happily consider out of town applications and can conduct virtual play dates with interested adopters. We have monthly transport to various locations in the Pacific Northwest, individual arrangements would need to be made for other locations across the US and Canada. To initiate the adoption process for this dog, please complete our online application by clicking below.
