String Bean entered Bonita Shelter as an emaciated, matted stray who was struggling to stand on his own. After he wasn't claimed, we welcomed him as a Frosted Face on January 6th. String Bean is estimated to be 12 years old and weighs 56 lbs. Despite all he's been through, he is a very sweet and friendly boy. String Bean went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could receive lots of TLC in the comfort of a home while we learned more about him. He is doing so well that his fling has been upgraded to a foster home until he is adopted! His foster mom shares: "String Bean (SB) is so gentle with our little dogs. He sniffs them and goes on his way. He is eating great. SB loves car rides. He is fascinated with looking out the back window. We have learned that SB barks when he needs something. He has let us know he needs to go potty, and that he was hungry. Pretty impressive! SB went to the beach today and could not get enough. To say he loved it is an understatement. He was rocking & rolling on his new wheels! I love seeing him smile! He was the hit at dog beach. I have one happy tired boy tonight!" Onyx is a very playful and loving 6-month-old boy; he is a little shy at first but opens up quickly once he gets comfortable, which does not take long at all. He is good with other dogs and loves his play time with his toys. Onyx is up to date with his vaccines, microchipped and is already scheduled for his neutering with our local vet. We took him to get treated and his hear was healed; at least what it was left of it. However; he has no issues. He is a gorgeous boy so lovable, active, gets along with other dogs - and cats and loves children; however; older children than 5 years old are the best fit for him; Just adorable. He loves to play "fetch" and he is very talkative and let you know he wants the ball back) when he is happy he loves ot dance in 2 legs; specially when he sees you:) or when he wants a toy; he also loves to go for walks and he is good on a leash; and he is crate trained. Story

Her name (pronounced kee-vah) means gentle and it couldn’t suit her better. She is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog. More than treats and toys, she craves attention from her people. She is smart, sensitive, and loves to be included in daily life. Unfortunately the dynamic between Caoimhe and our other dog has changed and our other dog has started attacking her unprovoked. Caoimhe is the more submissive of the two, and despite our best efforts to manage the situation, we no longer feel it is safe or fair for her to continue to live in a stressful situation where she is being bullied. For that reason, we have made the very difficult decision to find her a new home where she can feel safe and relaxed. Though not required, I picture her with a retired person or someone who is home often and wants a loyal companion to share their routine with and absolutely spoil her. She would thrive as an only pet, but gets along well with other dogs and cats when properly introduced.
