String Bean entered Bonita Shelter as an emaciated, matted stray who was struggling to stand on his own. After he wasn't claimed, we welcomed him as a Frosted Face on January 6th. String Bean is estimated to be 12 years old and weighs 56 lbs. Despite all he's been through, he is a very sweet and friendly boy. String Bean is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn more about him while he enjoys lots of TLC in the comfort of a home. His fling mom shares: "String Bean (SB) is eating great. When he first came home, he explored the inside and outside of the house. SB is so gentle with our littles. He sniffs them and goes on his way. SB is going on multiple walks a day to gain strength back in his back legs. SB loves car rides. On our first car ride home, it felt like he kept checking to see if I was there. On our second car ride to and from the park, he could care less about me and was fascinated with looking out the back window. We have learned that SB barks when he needs something. He has let us know he needs to go potty, and that he was hungry. Pretty impressive! SB went to the beach today and could not get enough. To say he loved it, is an understatement."
