Story
Meet Allie! Allie is a Labradoodle mix under 3 years old with a big smile and even bigger zest for life! This happy girl is full of energy and always ready for her next adventure. Whether it’s playtime in the yard or heading out for a walk, Allie brings enthusiasm wherever she goes. Because she gets so excited (life is just that fun!), she may need a little work on leash manners to help her channel all that excitement in a more polished way. With consistency and positive training, she’ll catch on quickly. Allie would do best in a home with older kids who can match her high energy and playful spirit. She can be dog selective, so proper introductions and a compatible canine friend (if any) will be important. A fenced yard is a must for Hallie so she can safely run, play, and burn off her energy. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, active companion who will keep you moving and smiling, Allie might be your perfect match! Adoption donation is $425 cash, $450 credit, debit or Venmo. This donation includes a microchip. ***A NOTE ON BREEDS: The dog's listed breed(s) is the best assessment made by a veterinarian, pet finder or rescue staff and is not guaranteed. This pet is being offered by Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue, 246 Clonmell Upland Road, West Grove PA 19390 - PA Shelter # 8755 Another great reason to adopt from Greenmore...... Greenmore Rescue preforms the 4dx blood test on ALL of our adult dogs FREE OF CHARGE to adopters! This blood test checks for diseases such as Lyme and Heartworm Disease that are transmitted to dogs from a tic or mosquito bite. If the dog you are interested in tests positive for any of these conditions, treatment will already have been started or completed. Your Adoption Counselor will review any findings with you and we will provide all medical records, along with any medication the dog may need at the time of adoption.

Story
Officially she's Oprah. Around here, she's become Millie.Whatever you call her, you'll never have to wonder whether she'll be happy to see you.The moment Millie spots someone new, her tail starts wagging. She happily makes her way over, hoping for a few kind words, a gentle scratch behind the ears, or simply the chance to be close. She has an easy, affectionate way about her that makes it feel like you've known her for years. Despite everything life has thrown at her, Millie has never stopped believing that people are good. Our best guess is that Millie is a Labrador/Poodle mix with a soft, wavy coat that will benefit from regular trips to the groomer to keep her looking and feeling her best. The truth is, Millie hasn't always been treated with the kindness she so freely gives. She was found wandering one of our local beaches alongside another dog. Both girls were underweight. Both had damaged teeth. Both had mammary masses. Based on their condition, our veterinarian believes they likely spent much of their lives being bred before they were abandoned when they were no longer useful.Since then, Millie's story has taken a much happier turn. Thanks to the incredible team at Penn Vet, she underwent surgery to remove her mammary masses. We're thrilled to share that her biopsy results came back benign, and she has fully recovered and been medically cleared for adoption.Millie also spent time in a foster home while she recovered, where she continued to prove what we had already seen at the shelter: she's an incredibly sweet, gentle companion who simply loves being with people. Whether she's joining you for a walk, following you from room to room, or settling in beside you after a long day, she's happiest when she's with her people. For what may have been the first time in her life, Millie now gets the chance to be chosen simply because she's Millie—not because of what she could provide for someone else.We think that's long overdue. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! Story
Meet Xena! Xena is a sweet 4‑year‑old Lab mix who came to us after her family could no longer care for her. From the moment she arrived, she made fast friends with our staff—she’s the kind of dog who lights up a room just by walking into it.She’s currently spending time in our A‑Dorm with one of our volunteers and has been doing wonderfully. Xena has lived with both dogs and cats before, though she didn’t always get along with them. During her dog test here, she showed a bit of reactivity toward another dog, so we’re taking things slow and paying close attention to her comfort level.Because of this, we believe Xena would thrive best as the only pet in the home or with a calm, well‑rounded dog who won’t mind giving her the time and space she needs to understand that new friends are safe. She wants to be social—she just needs a patient companion to help her feel confident.Xena is affectionate, people‑oriented, and eager to bond. She’s ready for a family who can give her stability, kindness, and the chance to blossom into her best self.Xena's adoption fee is $175, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful.
