Dog Name: Essie Breed: poodle mix Sex: female Age: 7 months Weight: 6 1/2 pounds Medical Needs: Heart worm prevention and tick/flea prevention due monthly. House trained: yes. She will go to the door but doesn’t alert with a bark. Crate trained: Essie hasn’t used a crate but we are in training now. Good in the car: she is quiet in a car and doesn’t get sick but doesn’t act like she enjoys it. Good on a leash: we are in training. Energy level: medium level energy. Essie had her left front leg amputated on August 26th due to a break that wouldn’t heal. She has now learned that 3 legs is not much different that 4 when it comes to having fun and doing anything her 4 legged friends in her foster home can do. Need a fenced in yard: no but Essie enjoys her leisure time and play in a fenced yard so it would be a bonus! Dog Friendly: yes! She lives with other small dogs and loves to play. It is not recommended that she live with a large dog due to the possibility of getting hurt during play. But she would love a small playmate. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No Cat Friendly? Yes Kid Friendly: this is unknown as she hasn’t been around children. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? 12+ since she is so small Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Essie is an adorable tiny red poodle that has endured a lot in the past couple months. She is now ready to start her next chapter. She is looking to someone’s EVERYTHING ! She is very affectionate, happy, gentle, and loves to curl up next to her human and snuggle. And play is her favorite pastime.
