Story
Meet Archie, an adorable and goofy 25lb, 5-year-old male, who is guessed to be a Poodle/Schnauzer type mix. He was found as a stray and sadly went unclaimed. He was adopted from animal control, but unfortunately the other dog in the home did not like him, so they surrendered Archie to us. Archie is playful and loves going on walks, sniffing around, and being with people. He's a sweet guy who just wants to be with someone. He is very treat motivated and knows "sit." He has done well for grooming/brushing for our staff. Archie is not a fan of being crated but he has made progress and is manageable to crate for necessary crating such as vet/grooming appoints. Archie is looking for a patient home to allow him to decompress and relax, so he can show his sweet, silly personality! He would do best in a home without children or cats. While he is dog friendly, he is not a fan of sharing his stuff with them, so would do best as the only pup in the home.Archie had FHO hip surgery in March and is doing wonderfully! He healed well and is now back to normal activity, building back up the muscle. He feels so much better!

Story
Just like the gemstone she's named after, Diamond is a precious girl whose beauty shines brightest once you take the time to get to know her. Diamond can be shy and reserved when meeting new people and prefers to take things at her own pace. New situations can be a little overwhelming, so she's looking for a patient family willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable. But beneath that cautious exterior is an incredibly sweet dog just waiting to blossom. Once Diamond learns to trust you, her gentle and loving personality begins to shine through. She forms strong bonds with her people and enjoys being part of a calm, understanding home. We believe Diamond would thrive with another confident canine companion. Having a dog friend by her side can help her feel more secure and show her that the world isn't such a scary place after all. Diamond may not be the type of dog who wins everyone over immediately, but for someone willing to invest a little patience and love, she'll be a truly priceless companion. Like any diamond, she's worth the wait.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**If you are interested in being considered for this dog, please be sure to complete an application directly on our website - not through a 3rd party service.**     Hi! I’m Woody! I’m a happy go lucky poodle mix ready to jump into your family! I love hanging out with my dog pals at my foster’s house and follow all the rules like going in my crate and only going potty outside. I love taking people out on walks, so much so that they have to remind me that I’m the one getting walked and not to pull them so much. I’ll learn I just need more practice! I’d be a great addition to many types of homes, but my dream house includes a yard with room to run and stocked groceries to help me get a bit more weight on. I’m about 50 pounds and a year and a half old. Please fill out an adoption application to meet me.    *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bingo is about 8 years old, weighs around 30 pounds, and has a tight, white curly coat that doesn't shed but requires brushing (which he hates) and professional grooming every 6–8 weeks. My husband and I have had Bingo for just over three years. He's a sweet dog, but he's also a bit of a handful. He has severe anxiety around the vet and groomer and must be medicated with Trazodone and Acepromazine before visits. He's also prone to environmental allergies and ear infections but won't let anyone touch or clean his ears. Bingo is mostly housebroken but may occasionally pee in the basement if he's not let out first thing in the morning or "spite poop" when he's grumpy. He loves walks, car rides, treats, cuddles, tearing apart toys, and shredding tissues. Bingo needs a patient, experienced owner. He'd do well in a home with kids 5 , dogs, or cats. He's a loving companion, but his care is costly and more involved than most.

Darling is a mix of two very intelligent breeds, Moyen Standard Poodle and Border Collie. She is non-shedding which means she will need occasional grooming to keep her fur under control. She’s very sweet and loves going for walks. She is about 7 months old, fully vaccinated and already spayed. Good with children.
