Story
This pretty girl is Quin! Quin is a three-year-old Bernedoodle (Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle) with the fluffiest curls and sweetest soul. Recently surrendered through no fault of her own, Quin came to the shelter after a heartbreaking decision by her previous owner. It's clear this girl has only ever known love - she's happy, gentle, affectionate, and absolutely thrives around people. Quin lived in a home with children and gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets. She's house-broken, well-mannered, and walks well on leash (though she's still brushing up on her skills with a little wiggle in her step). Whether it's snuggling on the couch or walking beside you on an adventure, she's just happy to be with her humans. As a Poodle mix, Quin comes with some fabulous curls- and some grooming needs to match! She'll need a family committed to regular professional grooming and daily coat maintenance to keep her looking and feeling her best. If you're ready for oodles of fun with a cute Doodle girl, Quin is here waiting!Want to meet this curly queen? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Piper!  *Her adoption fee is $350.00. *She is believed to be a 2 year old Goldendoodle mix, but it is impossible to know without a DNA test.*Piper is a big baby, but can be bossy as she is a dominant girl.*She is a reactive dog, has improved immensely, but does not do well with other dominant dogs and needs a slow introduction with new dogs.*Piper must be walked with a gentle lead and short leash for more control.  No pull halter.*She is muzzle trained and it is recommended that she wear a muzzle to the groomers and vet until she is comfortable with them.*It takes time to earn Piper's trust when meeting new people.  She needs a 'no look, no touch' rule at first.  You need to let her come to you.*No kids under the age of 13 and they need to be a mature 13 for Piper.*Piper would do better in a home, so no apartment living for this gal due to her tendency to bark at the window at people or other animals going by.*She is crate trained and potty trained and knows basic obedience.*A fenced in yard is preferred, but not required if her new family is very active.*Piper loves camping, loves to snuggle, and sleep in your bed.*We would love for the right family to meet Piper and give her a home! *The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. Story
Dolly was on the run for at least two weeks before she was caught. She has not been claimed. She is very very scared of people, and we believe she may have come from a breeding facility due to her unregistered microchip that cannot be tracked even to the company of origin. She is currently in a foster home where they’re working with her to gain her trust. She does have a pretty serious ulcer on her eye, the vet has prescribed eye drops, but it may still need to come out if it remains painful to her. She’s also in need of a dental, which she will be getting when she is spayed. She is good with other dogs.Dollie is a good girl, housebroke, but so, so terrified. We are making progress slowly. She is really depending of her foster brother. He is her pal and she wants to be near/on him at all times. She is good with the other dogs and the cat in the home. She will do best in a home with another dog, if not adopted with her foster brother. If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Completing a questionnaire on any other website does not submit an application to our rescue, you must complete one on our website. Story
Weight: 35LBS Meet Hiccup – a fluffy, love-powered Standard Poodle mix with a heart bigger than his floof when grown out. He came to us looking like he tried playing in a syrup factory, with his golden locks clumped together and matted; so we had to shave him down to make him more comfortable. This sweet cuddle machine was clearly built for one thing: affection overload. He gives the kind of hugs that make your soul feel like it's wrapped in a freshly baked blanket. His hobbies include leaning his entire body against you like a living weighted blanket, gazing into your eyes like you’re the last treat on Earth, and transforming into a mop if not regularly groomed (seriously, he’s 30% dog, 70% fluff, and 130% affection). Hiccup might sound like a hiccup, but he’s actually a full-body awww. Just be warned: once he hugs you, you’re emotionally owned. Dogs: Yes, we recommend bringing all floofs in the home to meet with him Cats: Unknown Kids: Unknown, we recommend bringing all family members in to meet this huggable pup.
