Meet Lilly! Your future shadow, snuggle buddy, and maybe part-time dance instructor! 💃🐾Lilly is a 3.5-year-old blue heeler/poodle mix weighing in at 24 lbs. She’s got the brains of both breeds, which means she’s smart, curious, and probably already plotting how to steal your spot on the couch (don’t worry, she’ll share… maybe).This sweet girl is all about her people. Lilly thrives in a home where someone is around most of the time. She’s not a fan of solo adventures but loves being your constant sidekick.Walks? Oh, she’s obsessed with them… with a twist. Lilly may occasionally turn your stroll into a spontaneous twirling dance routine 💃, but she’s working hard on her leash manners and catching on quickly. Who doesn’t love a dog with a little flair? Because Lilly is practicing her leash skills, a fenced in yard is preferred for her at this time. Lilly is crate trained and making great progress with potty training, keep her on a consistent schedule and she’ll continue to shine like the star she is. Lily does great with other dogs. She does not live with cats in her foster home. She has seen them in the past and didn’t seem to mind them. She does well with respectful kids who are not full of energy. 
Lilly is undergoing vetting and will be spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and fully vaccinated (rabies, distemper/parvo lepto, and bordetella) on 3/31. Edna is a 3 year old Poodle mix. She weighs 22 lbs and a very pretty merle color. Edna gets along with other dogs and loves to cuddle with her foster sister, Callie. Despite all she's been through, Edna is he sweetest dog. She is happy and always wagging her tail. She loves to run around the yard and is good with small kids. Edna is definitely a lap dog and can't get enough attention. Her foster family is working with her on housetraining and her adoptive family will need to continue her training. Her hair and skin are healing, and she looks so good! Edna has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is on heartworm/flea prevention. If you'd like to adopt Edna, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.aplmercer.com. Adoption fee $400 Previous story on Edna: On 03/18/2026 the Mercer County Dog Warden brought us a little dog he picked up as a stray who needed medical treatment. She is missing half of her nose and a good portion of her hair. We don't know what happened to her but she's in rough shape. The vet said something could have bitten her nose off. As for her skin, he said it almost looks like someone poured a chemical on her or she had a severe reaction to fleas that created this. We will probably never know what happened but she is safe now.
