Story
Daisy is a poodle/pug/beagle mix puppy (yes, really, we double checked) with a poodle’s build and energy level. Her coat is wiry and soft, and she has the longest, softest ears. She’s an active, athletic girl who loves to run and play and has zero interest in sitting still, until she’s tired, that is, and then she’s out. She’s toy motivated, fairly smart, and picks up on training well, but she’s also got an independent streak, so she does best with someone willing to put in consistent time with her. That investment will pay off. Underneath all that energy is a genuine snuggle bug who wants nothing more than to crash on your lap once she’s had her exercise for the day.Daisy is confident. With other dogs, she’s playful but pushy, she doesn’t always listen to their cues and just wants to play, and she’ll try that approach even with dogs twice her size. She’d do best paired with a dog that has some patience and can roll with a puppy who hasn’t figured out boundaries yet, but will not let her completely take control. Most cats aren’t a good match for her, unless they are very confident and willing to stand up for themselves or very rowdy and playful with dogs, otherwise she will just jump on them trying to play. She loves people and gets thrilled to meet new ones. She just hasn’t learned yet that jumping isn’t the best way to say hello. She’s great with kids, but she plays like a puppy plays, so she’ll do best in a home with school-age children rather than toddlers who can’t handle her enthusiasm. She’s crate trained and sleeps through the night without a fuss. House training is still a work in progress. She does well on a regular schedule but doesn’t yet reliably ask to go out on her own.Daisy is going to grow into a dog who could really do something with all that drive, whether that’s agility, a job to do, or just being the confident leader of her own little pack. She needs a home ready to channel her energy rather than fight it.She’ll be around 20 pounds full grown. Because she’s still too young to be spayed, Daisy will go home on a foster-to-adopt contract.Interested in Daisy? Story
Velcro earned his name honestly. This fuzzy blonde/apricot poodle/pomeranian (??) mix was found as a stray running after a vehicle in the middle of nowhere, and ever since, he’s made it his mission to never be far from people again. He’s a total lapdog who wants to be right next to you, all day, every day, and he lights up when his people come home. He’s a fun little dog. Give him a little stuffed toy and he’ll happily play fetch, bringing it right back and asking you to throw it again over and over. He loves to have a collection of stuffy’s so he has his choice of what to chew on or play with. :) Velcro has the cutest little crooked underbite. We’re not sure if it was natural or from an injury, but he seems to do fine with it. At just over 11 pounds, Velcro is easygoing and sweet. He does well around cats and will even try to play with them. He is OK with other dogs, but honestly, he would prefer to be the only canine in the house. He would prefer not to share his people or his food with another dog lol. He can also be a bit leery of bigger, more boisterous dogs, since he’s small enough to get accidentally stepped on or bowled over during rough play.Velcro is good with nice, gentle children. He likes them, but being a sensitive soul (aka a bit of a wimp), he quickly becomes fearful and could possibly even become nippy with a child that was rough with him. For this reason, we are recommending school-age children at the minimum. He’s not a fan of being left alone and will let you know about it. 🤣 He rides well in a car and walks well on a leash.House training just takes a little know-how. Velcro does best on a regular potty schedule, leash walks or time in a fenced area. As long as he’s taken out regularly, he does pretty well with keeping his business outside. He’s currently being fostered in a home with a dog door, but for whatever reason he’s afraid to use it. He’s also got a adventurous streak and loves to explore, so he’s happiest and safest on a leash or in a securely fenced yard rather than roaming loose. He does shed a little, so he isn’t considered hypoallergenic like some poodle mixes. He may not need regular grooming, but he will need some brushing. His adoption fee is $200. Interested in adopting Velcro? Story
Unfortunately, we just can’t keep our girl Bailey anymore. She’s such a sweet dog, but we’ve had her outside, and she just would be a much better inside dog. Her hair is impossible to keep nice when she’s living outside, and she deserves a good home with a family that can provide a better environment for her. She’s 8 years old. She’s great with kids, and great with other dogs as well. She hasn’t really been around cats. She isn’t house trained because she has lived outside her whole life. She does tend to be a She does tend to be an anxious dog, she’s been like that ever since we bought her as a puppy. For that reason, it’s vital that she’s with her family that will be aware of that and will take good care of her. Please message me with any questions!
