Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Gravy was rescued and adopted in 2019, and had a good life for several years. Then another dog was added to the family, and after 6+ months of living in peace, the dynamic changed for some reason. Gravy and the new dog just didn't seem to be capable of getting along any more and we can't say why. We agreed that Gravy should come back to Bluebonnet so we could find a new home for her. She is a very sweet, affectionate dog. She gets along with other dogs, just not with the one new female added to her family. She had lived with other female dogs here before adoption, AND with another female dog in her adopted home. So it's not a same-sex issue. It seems to be specifically these two dogs. Gravy is house/potty-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. She's a very easy dog to have around. DNA results show her to be 50% Poodle, 12.5% Boxer, 12.5% Husky, and 25% mix of various breed groups. She seems to be fairly low-shedding and quieter than the Husky part of her DNA would suggest.  If you have a nice quiet home and can give Gravy the retirement she deserves, please submit your application here.    ORIGINAL BIO - 2019 Biscuits and her sister Gravy landed in a small shelter in rural Oklahoma after being picked up as strays. There are several Doodle breeders within an hour's drive of the shelter, and our best guess is that these girls had a good home but somehow got lost. We've looked at lots of photos and read the descriptions for several different types of Doodle, and it's hard to say which variety these girls might be, but they do look more like Doodles than like any AKC breed.  One Oklahoma breeder's website has photos of "SwissDoodles" that look similar to these girls; those dogs are bred from a BerneDoodle paired with an AussieDoodle.  Another Oklahoma breeder's website has photos of GoldenDoodles with brindle coloring similar to the coats on Biscuits & Gravy. We didn't find an Oklahoma breeder advertising Doodles from German Wire-Haired Pointers, but the wiry texture of their coats makes us think that's a possibility.  We can only guess about their breed mix, unless you want to donate a DNA kit so we can find out for sure. :) We can tell you that personality-wise, Biscuits and Gravy remind us very much of some Doodle pups we rescued last year. They are sweet, affectionate, full of energy, very playful, and just all around good-tempered dogs. They get along with other dogs and seem well-socialized with people. If you would like to meet either of these sweethearts, please complete the application on our website at www.bluebonnetrescue.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 12, 2026, 10:03 am

Story
DOB: 3/27/2023 Weight: 80 lbs.  Alfie is a handsome 3-year-old Great Dane/Poodle mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and in excellent health. He's looking for an active family who can give him plenty of exercise and adventure.  Alfie is a gentle giant who absolutely adores people. He has been raised in a home with four children and is incredibly loving, patient, and affectionate with kids of all ages. He enjoys being close to his family, lounging indoors, and soaking up attention from his favorite humans.    Alfie is crate trained, leash trained, and understands basic household routines. He knows basic commands such as sit and down, and he is eager to please. He is intelligent, affectionate, and thrives when he receives consistent structure and attention. Whether he's spending time with his family or showing off his good manners, Alfie is happiest when he is included in everyday life.   One of Alfie's favorite activities is going for car rides. He happily loads up and enjoys being part of the adventure, whether it's a quick trip around town or a longer outing. He also does exceptionally well when boarded and adjusts comfortably to boarding environments, making him an easy companion for families who travel or occasionally need pet care services.   Alfie currently lives with another large dog and has been successful in that environment. However, he can be selective about other animals and would benefit from slow, proper introductions to any new pets. Because every dog relationship is different, we believe Alfie would thrive either as an only pet receiving all of the attention or in a home with an experienced owner who is willing to carefully manage introductions and ensure a good fit.   Alfie enjoys having space to stretch his long legs, explore, and spend time outdoors, so a securely fenced yard would be ideal for him. While he enjoys outdoor time, he is happiest when he is with his family and included in daily life.   Alfie has so much love to give and deserves a home that understands his needs and can provide the attention, stability, and companionship he craves. In return, he will reward his family with endless loyalty, affection, and plenty of goofy Great Dane charm. He's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and will be tested for heartworms very soon. His adoption fee is $275 and you can apply here if you're interested: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Bucky will make an amazing sidekick for his future family! He just wants to be wherever his people are and be part of whatever is going on. Bucky does great with dogs of all sizes and really loves having a canine companion. Because of his playful energy, he would do best in a home with another younger, playful dog who can keep up with him and enjoys having a buddy to wrestle and play with. This boy is always ready for an adventure! He loves his daily walks, trips to the dog park, playing fetch with his favorite ball, and he’s always up for a car ride. With his breed mix and high energy, Bucky needs plenty of opportunities to exercise, explore, and burn off that puppy energy. And after a fun day? You’ll find Bucky happily crashed out for a nap!  Bucky is crate trained, potty trained, great in the car, sleeps in his crate at night and comfortable in his crate during the day while his foster family runs errands. His ideal family will have someone home most of the day, as he can struggle with separation. He’s looking for an active family who enjoys walks, adventures, playtime, and including their dog in the fun! No apartments and children must be 12 years and older.  Bucky is a 1 year old German Shepherd/Standard Poodle mix weighing 62 lbs. If you think Bucky could be the perfect addition to your family, *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2707385##

Story
Hi!! Hudson is looking for a loving home, he is an F1b goldendoodle. Purchased from a breeder($1400 as the runt of the litter) his mom is a chocolate goldendoodle and his dad is a white standard poodle. He would do best with an owner who is home and can be with him all or most of the time, if he is not kenneled, he will eat almost anything; socks, paper, toys, etc. Hudson is great with kids & other pets, he is about as sweet as they come. He has been around another dog and 2 cats his entire life. He loves water, fetch, balls, going hiking and running around outside. His birthday is June 15, 2021 and is fully house trained. While he can still be hyper and vocal(usually in new situations), he is mostly calm and mellow and stays by your side. Unfortunately, I have had some urgent recent health conditions and cannot have the added responsibility at this time. We are crushed to lose him from our family, the small adoption fee is to ensure we find him the right home and family for him.
