Story
08/19/25 16:57What did we do on today’s adventure:I smelled adventure when I saw the harness! I was excited and got wriggly but I was also patient as the humans fit my harness and collar on me. I was a little skeptical when I was asked to jump up high into a big car so I stalled. My human friend got me a step ladder and helped me into the car. When I arrived at our destination, I quickly jumped out and took in all the smells of nature!! Aaah this is so much better than the my usual 15 mins walk around the shelter. We saw turkeys and cows but I left them alone but when I saw squirrels, I got excited! I was going to chase them but my human friend tugged on my leash and Iunderstood so I focused on my hike instead.I was curious and sniffed everything on our path and I didn’t slow down at all! I checked in on my human friend as well, to make sure she wasn’t tired. We took several water breaks and I sat like a good boy for photos. As we were 2 miles into our hike, we saw a coyote following us from a distance and trotted carefully. Suddenly the coyote started yowling and we knew it was time to get out of the area ASAP! We ran till wecouldn’t see nor hear the coyote. Phew! After the incident, we hiked for a bit more before resting at the picnic area. I was still very excited about the area and wanted to check outmore things however it was time to head back. My human was sad to take me back so we stopped at a nearby neighborhood to sniff around briefly. I was a little tired but I look forward to my next adventure hopefully not too long from now. What should potential adopters know about me:Tanner is cautious, polite and calm but he is also full of energy and enthusiasm. He likes to look out of the car during the travel but stayed calm.He would make a great hiking or running buddy. He does not pull hard on the leash and did great with people during our hike. He gets excited seeing squirrels and will pull a bit but easily distracted with a little tug on the leash.Three words to describe me:Galoopy, Explorer, Energetic07/21/25 07:36What did we do on today’s adventure:Tanner and I spent the morning exploring the shady streets of Willow Glen, taking in the sights downtown and stopping by a doggy store where he carefully inspected all the treat options. We paused at a park so Tanner could sprawl out in the grass, happily observing the world around him. He did great on leash and thoroughly enjoyed sniffing every new scent
