Story
UPDATE: Jagger resides in Austin, TX now but is still available for adoption. Meet Mellow Mick Jagger! This sweet guy once found himself at the shelter on the euthanasia list only for being scared of the leash, but those days are behind him thanks to positive reinforcement and CHEESE! :) He's fine on a leash now and enjoys a stroll in a calm neighborhood. He's crate trained, house-trained and good with people and dogs (hasn't been cat or kid tested yet). Jagger gets excited to see dogs through the fences, but then just sniffs and likes to chill in the yard with them and go on walks. He can be shy around strangers, but will walk up to a new human briefly and is fine with their soft pets, if he gets a premium STINKY cheese in return! ;) He’s so gentle! Mick honestly just wants to chill ALL day at home and wait for you to get home from your errands or hikes, rather than join you. Total home body kinda guy! Jagger is so ready for a forever home! Is that you? If you are in Austin or close to Austin, fill out an adoption application on our site: www.pawsoflarescue.org/adoptabledogs-mickjagger

Story
Meet Santos! He is a 4 year old schnauzer/husky mix. He is a sweet, goofy boy who loves being with his human. Santos enjoys playing outside and like to play fetch; although he is still learning to give up the ball after retrieving it. He knows his sit command and is very treat motivated, but he still needs some training. Santos is about 50 pounds and does not realize his size and sometimes jumps on you or can be mouthy. He does however, respond well to correction, but needs someone who can use patience and positive reinforcement to give him guidance and boundaries he needs. He is a smart boy with lots of potential. Santos gets along with other dogs that are more on the submissive side and are smaller than him and he is totally fine with cats. He needs a more experienced dog owner that will give him the boundaries and rules he needs. He will also do best in an adult only home. Santos is full grown at 50 pounds. Our adoptions are restricted to residents within 30 miles of the South Bay area of Los Angeles. We do not ship animals or do long distance adoptions. See our adoption policies for more details on our adoption process. If you are interested in adopting one of our available pups, please complete an adoption application. You can find the application at: https://noahs-bark.org/adoption-application. We will arrange a meet and greet with the pet with approved applications only. Story
Hercules is about 9 years old. He is housetrained, and will wait to be walked to use the restroom. He’s a friendly, chill dog who enjoys sunbathing and playing with toys. He attempts to play fetch, and is protective of his toys but will enjoy playing tug with them. He does well with other dogs, more small dogs than larger dogs, but he rough houses. Looking for a new home for him because I don’t have the capacity to be with him at all times. He has separation anxiety when he’s alone and will often bark or find creative ways to get out and look for you which is why I can no longer keep him. Looking for a home that has other dogs, or someone who can be with him. If you’re at home with him, he’ll mostly just lounge. Can have super high energy, but usually enjoys being in his bed and sleeping. He likes to follow you when you get up, that’s just his way of making sure you’re not leaving him. He’s a sweet dog, just needs a home that is more fitting to his needs.

Story
Oliver is fully potty trained and an amazing walker, ignores dogs passing by. Ideally we would love him to be placed in an adult only home. He is loving, cuddly at times, protective of his home, cheese lover, great with baths, doesn’t shed, and loves his people hard. We want the best for our Oliver. He’s a sweet boy. We have had him since he was 6 weeks old and the first 4 years of his life was an adult only home, so he is not acclimated to young children. Our child is now walking around, and because of the unpredictability we have made the very difficult decision to re-home.

Story
Ryder is the total package! This sweet and lovable Cairn terrier mix is the definition of a loyal companion. With a laid-back, easy-going nature, Ryder is happy to hang out with you on the couch or play fetch in the yard — especially if there are doggie snacks involved! Ryder was rescued at 8 weeks old from Hesperia Shelter, with a sibling who passed from parvo soon after they arrived. Ryder never developed parvo and has been healthy since that time. He gets along wonderfully with kids and other dogs, and his non-shedding coat makes him a great option for families who prefer less fur around the house. Ryder’s calm, affectionate, and loyal personality makes him an ideal addition to just about any home. He is microchipped, neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. Ryder is currently being fostered in San Bernadino County, CA and must be picked up from there. For adoption information, please contact AlphaDogPetRescue@yahoo.com
