Peggy Sue Female, Schnauzer/Terrier Mix, Age 6 months (10/15/23), Weight 19.2 Meet Peggy Sue, a sweet and loving puppy who instantly brightens every room with her playfulness. She's not just smart; she's a quick study, mastering house manners with ease and showing a keen interest in the whirl of colors and sounds on the screen while watching TV with her humans during family. Peggy Sue has a fondness for squeaky toys and plushies, often spotted prancing around with them or engaging in joyful tugs.   Though initially a little reserved with new faces, Peggy Sue soon opens up, sharing her affectionate and fun-loving personality. She's house-trained, comfortably sleeps in her crate, and adores cuddle time. She plays wonderfully with other dogs and shows a gentle patience with children, making her the perfect addition to any loving family.   If you're on the lookout for a puppy who combines intelligence with an adorable personality, Peggy Sue could be the perfect match. Story
Meet Brody, an adorable 9-month-old, 50 lb. schnauzer/boxer mix. This rambunctious boy was surrendered to the shelter as a young puppy and now he's in search of a new furever family to call his own! He has been growing up in the shelter system as we've had him since October! Brody is just the cutest cuddlebug whose goal is to make friends with everyone he meets, including children! He loves to play and tends to prefer smaller dogs over larger ones. Brody loves to snuggle, give kisses, and will accept all the pets and belly rubs you have to offer. Brody also loves to play and have fun - he can never have enough toys and enjoys going on walks and hikes. He's both house trained and crate trained, however adopters should be ready to commit to basic puppy training and he still has a lot to learn. An active, young family would be ideal for the amount of energy he has. A fenced yard is also highly preferred. His adoption fee is $450 and Brody is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. If you are interested in this sweetheart, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Mr. MAN saved from a kill shelter in Georgia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 30 October 2023. Mr. MAN is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of October 2021 and in December 2023 has an estimated weight of 50 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue  YouTube channel  and  photo albums on our Facebook page  to see a LOT of pictures and videos. Mr. MAN is an absolute sweetheart, brimming with affection and love. He loves to play and charge around with his other dogs friends, but equally, it nor a little more, likes to be with his humans, as close as can be. He would be great for a family that wanted a dog to take everywhere with them. He has been around adults of all ages, shapes and sizes, small children and people with special needs and was gentle and loving.  He is responsive and is happy to show anyone he meets lots of love. He does need an active family who will ensure he gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that he needs to live a happy fulfilling life. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. Mr. MAN is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a  reduced adoption  fee of $250. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats. Story
Basil is approx 3 yrs old and 43 lbs, he looks like a schnauzer/ terrier mix , and maybe some bassett as he is a low rider, but we have no idea of what breeds he has in his DNA He’s overall a good dog, but needs an experienced adopter, he is very timid and shy and takes a while to warm up to new people He gets along with the other rescues and loves to run and play in the yard with them but can be pushy to new dogs that come into his fosters home and will try to nip Until he knows them and we feel he will be better as an only dog or with one buddy his size or bigger and no children He can be hard to put a leash on as he is scared of a leash and could do with some training , he loves to sit in his fosters office while she is working and stays very quietly He will come when you call him and goes inside when told to He seems to be very well house trained and will need a fully fenced in and secure yard , he’s a sweet boy that just needs the right home and loving owner THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS,WE SHIP OUR DOGS WITH MIGHTY MUTTS SHIPPING TO THE NORTH EAST OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only.
