You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sugar was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas and safely arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine on Friday, 5th December 2025. She’s now warm, safe, and patiently waiting for the family who will love her forever.  We post our adoptable dogs across the East Coast and Canada so we can reach as many amazing adopters as possible and match each dog with their perfect home Please note: We do not transport dogs. Approved adopters will schedule an appointment for a meet-and-greet at People 'n' Pets, Freeze Dried Goodies & Gear in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, where you’ll get to meet Sugar in person — and hopefully take home your new best friend. We do not know the exact breed of our dogs. It is the adopter’s responsibility to review photos and information provided, determine what breed(s) they believe the dog may be, and ensure they have the lifestyle, space, and means to care for the dog properly. Meet me at my foster home by appointment! Meet Sunny! Sunny is a scruffy schnauzer mix with a heart as warm as her name. She’s incredibly friendly, loves people and other dogs, and never turns down a good belly rub. Sunny enjoys a fun romp in the play yard and is always ready for an adventure or a cuddle. She is spayed, medically up to date and microchipped. Due to MA Dept of Agriculture restrictions, we can not adopt to MA residents.

He is the absolute sweetest boy who loves cuddles and gets along great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. He is very calm and only gets excited when you direct your attention towards him. He doesn't jump or paw at you. In the video he was terrified in a shelter with a 100 dogs barking so that level of excitement is not his normal. He has wavy/curly hair but it's soft, not wiry. He is an absolute gem. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found.
