Story
Basil is approx 3 yrs old and 43 lbs, he looks like a schnauzer/ terrier mix , and maybe some bassett as he is a low rider, but we have no idea of what breeds he has in his DNA He’s overall a good dog, but needs an experienced adopter, he is very timid and shy and takes a while to warm up to new people He gets along with the other rescues and loves to run and play in the yard with them but can be pushy to new dogs that come into his fosters home and will try to nip Until he knows them and we feel he will be better as an only dog or with one buddy his size or bigger and no children He can be hard to put a leash on as he is scared of a leash and could do with some training , he loves to sit in his fosters office while she is working and stays very quietly He will come when you call him and goes inside when told to He seems to be very well house trained and will need a fully fenced in and secure yard , he’s a sweet boy that just needs the right home and loving owner THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS,WE SHIP OUR DOGS WITH MIGHTY MUTTS SHIPPING TO THE NORTH EAST OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only. WE REQUIRE VET RECORDS ON YOUR CURRENT OR PAST DOG FOR OUR REVIEW. Story
Meet Brody, an adorable 9-month-old, 50 lb. schnauzer/boxer mix. This rambunctious boy was surrendered to the shelter as a young puppy and now he's in search of a new furever family to call his own! He has been growing up in the shelter system as we've had him since October! Brody is just the cutest cuddlebug whose goal is to make friends with everyone he meets, including children! He loves to play and tends to prefer smaller dogs over larger ones. Brody loves to snuggle, give kisses, and will accept all the pets and belly rubs you have to offer. Brody also loves to play and have fun - he can never have enough toys and enjoys going on walks and hikes. He's both house trained and crate trained, however adopters should be ready to commit to basic puppy training and he still has a lot to learn. An active, young family would be ideal for the amount of energy he has. A fenced yard is also highly preferred. His adoption fee is $450 and Brody is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. If you are interested in this sweetheart, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

With her striking appearance that hints at a captivating mix of Schnauzer, German Shepherd, or maybe even a Belgian Lakenois, Gigi is truly a beauty to behold. But her journey hasn't been an easy one. Rescued from a remote shelter in a challenging part of Texas, where second chances are a rarity, Gigi's fortunes changed when SNARR came to her rescue. While Gigi has a fondness for being around other dogs, she can sometimes display a bit of protectiveness and bossiness. However, fear not! With patience, understanding, and a little training, her current behaviors can be reshaped. I'm As she learns to enjoy the company of her fellow canines to the fullest extent, Gigi's playful side will shine through, making her an excellent companion for both humans and four-legged friends alike. But for now, we are recommending Gigi to go to a home as an only dog. Not only is Gigi unique and beautiful, but she is also incredibly smart and engaging. Her quick-witted nature and eagerness to learn make her an ideal candidate for ongoing training, where she can further showcase her intelligence and charm. With Gigi by your side, you'll never have a dull moment, as she delights in discovering new tricks and challenges that engage her inquisitive mind. Story
Luna is a 6-yearr-old, 30-pound female schnauzer mix from Tijuana. She has adjusted very well during her time in the suburbs. Luna enjoys taking long walks, basking in the sunshine and rolling in the grass in the backyard, and chilling on the couch laying her head on her fosters lap. During her time with her foster family, she seems to be housetrained. Her crate is her safe space, and she is not destructive.  Luna is still working on her leash skills, but more often than not she’s a delight on walks. Luna is a sweet, gentle, and kind pup. Her forever family will need to continue working with Luna to reinforce and advance the progress she's been making. Luna has done well in her crate during the day and never causes trouble, even when it’s often open. It’s her go-to spot once she returns home. She loves to be cozy with her foster family but doesn’t really like or understand toys yet. Luna is looking for a quiet but active family, one that will give her the time she needs to decompress. She appreciates downtime and active moments! She would prefer to be the only dog at the home but could be open to having a small and laid back dog sibling. We would recommend Luna go to any home! She seems to love the kids in the neighborhood who have been visiting and walking her! Vaccinated for rabies, DA2PP, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Luna tested positive for ehrlichia and is being treated with 30 days of doxycycline. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To apply for Luna, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2032929##
