Story
Meet Courie!  Is this not the most adorable little girl?!?! She’s an extra special girl, looking for an extra special home! Courie - pronounced KUR•eee and short for “Courage - is a 1(ish) yr old Schnauzer mix. Courie was found running scared down Peachtree Industrial Rd in Atlanta. Shelter staff quickly realized that she would not handle a crazy shelter environment very well and so reached out to RMG so she could get into a foster home. It took a few weeks of being absolutely terrified, but once Courie started to decompress we finally got to see glimpses of her amazing personality!  Courie LOVES to play with friends - her current foster bestie is Huxley! She will definitely need a more confident playful dog in her forever home to play with and to help her continue to build confidence, along with a fenced yard. One fear Courie is still working on conquering, though, is her fear of men so she will need an all female household - one that is calm and patient, and has experience with timid/fearful dogs. We know this might seem like a bit of a unicorn situation, but Courie deserves nothing but the best and so we are off in search of the best for her! Are you the Unicorn Courie is waiting for? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org   ##2629744##

Story
Meet Coda and Jace two lifelong friends whose world changed when their beloved person entered hospice. For years, they’ve been inseparable—sharing every nap, every meal, every quiet moment. Now, they’re hoping to find a future filled with soft beds, warm laps, and endless pets. They’re not looking for adventure—just love. They thrive on calm, companionship, and the simple joy of being near you. While they’ve always been together (and we’d love to see them stay that way), we understand that might not be possible. If they must go their separate ways, they carry each other in their hearts. They’ve given their all in love. Now, they just want a peaceful place to spend their golden years—cherished, safe, and never alone. If you have room in your home and heart for one (or both) of these gentle souls, please come meet them. They’re ready to love again. Adoption fee $300~~If you are interested in this animal, you can complete the questionnaire found on the available pets page of our website http://hbpr.org. Story
My elderly parents adopted Casey as a puppy. He is 9 years old. Unfortunately, their health has declined and they are no longer able to live on their own or care for Casey. They will be transitioning to assisted living and cannot take him. Casey is an extremely well behaved guy. He loves walks and cuddles. He does take a bit to warm up to strangers. He has never been aggressive. The perfect home for him would be with a retirees or someone who works from home. He is being left alone for short periods of time, but is used to his people being their the majority of time.
