Story
**Homebody Introvert alert** Hello, my SOCA name is Sirius Black but I go by the name Cutter. I was DNA tested and I am a mix of Schnauzer, Staffordshire terrier, and Boxer. I got my Shakira wiggle butt hips from my boxer side, the loyalty and attention from my Staffie side and the wild hair from my Schnauzer side. I am an easy laid back adult boy looking for a not so active person. I am a querky introvert who prefers to co-exist with you and I will be a great for someone who just wants an easy companion. I grew up with kids and love them. Because I am a grown adult, I am fully potty trained and I love to hang out in my crate, its my bedroom. I will lay by your feet in the kitchen or the living room. I am a FOODIE and very treat motivated. I must brag about being a master treat catcher! I will do anything for a treat. I love the back and belly scratches. Something silly about me: I like to rub on the side of the couch like a cat and sometimes I tend to rearrange the furniture when I do. I am very respectful when it comes to furniture and spaces. Meaning, I do not attempt to get on the couch or enter places that I am not invited to, such as your bedroom. I am a low maintenence guy who's looking to be your one and only. I dont really need to go on walks, but I do prefer a home with a yard. Since I am a home body, I will to do my business outside and wait at the door to come right back in. My adoption fee is $100 locally in Houston, TX and $250 out of state (includes travel fee and health certificate). I am up to date on all my vaccines, microchipped and neutered. Story
Hi there… my name is Ollie. Not too long ago, I found myself scared and confused in a loud, overcrowded shelter until the wonderful people at SOCA came to my rescue. Now I’m hoping to find a forever family of my very own. I’m a sweet, loyal boy who loves being close to my people. If you need a shadow, I’m your guy! Whether you’re relaxing at home, working around the house, or enjoying some fresh air outside, I’ll happily follow you just about anywhere. I’ve got lots of energy and would love a home with a large fenced backyard where I can run and play. I’d probably do great with another playful dog friend too! Right now, I’m learning commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “fetch,” and I’m excited to keep learning with the right family. I’m very food motivated, love my toys, and after playtime is over, my favorite place to be is curled up next to my person as your lap buddy. More than anything, I just want someone to love and stay close to forever. Maybe that could be you? ❤️ My adoption fee is $350 locally in Houston, TX. It includes all my vaccines, spay/neuter, and microchip. Fill out an app at: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQMay 25, 2026, 5:37 pm

Story
Pierce is a good looking boy straight from the streets of Houston. He is a wonderful, funny boy when he trusts you but trust is not something that comes easy for him. He has obviously been let down by humans his entire life. He is currently living with our trainer, who is helping him understand that humans can be good and trusted. Pierce is just about 2 years old, 60 pounds and maybe a schnauzer/husky mix. He needs an experienced handler who can continue to help him build h is confidence and trust in humans. Pierce is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Pierce is currently heartworm positive but we will continue to cover treating him through the slow kill method. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this handsome guy, just fill out the appropriate application found at scoutshonor.org.     Scout's Honor Rescue is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters. EIN # is 87-0773073 Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/scoutshonorrescue or Instagram at www.instagram.com/scoutshonorrescue We have multiple ways to donate: Venmo:  @ScoutsHonor-Rescue Paypal: www.paypal.me/scoutshonorrescue   https://scoutshonor.org/take-action/donate/ We are strictly volunteer based, no salaries are paid and 100% of donations go towards rescuing dogs March 8, 2026, 9:28 pm

Story
Now this boy is a total goofball… meet Fletch!  Fletch was found as a stray alongside his brother, who looked just like him, and sweet Ruby, another girl we pulled during our shelter pull. His brother was lucky enough to get adopted, but Fletch and Ruby were left behind and getting closer and closer to euthanasia. Thankfully, they’re now safe with us forever. Fletch is estimated to be around 2 years old, but honestly he could easily be closer to 1 because this boy acts just like a puppy. He’s goofy, energetic, playful, and absolutely full of life. Fletch definitely thrives with exercise, structure, and having rules in place. Truthfully, he just doesn’t seem like he was ever taught much before now.  What he does know is how to love. Fletch loves every single person he meets and is always ready to make new dog friends too. He’s the kind of dog that will keep you laughing daily with his silly personality and puppy antics. We know once he’s getting consistent exercise, has structure, this boy is going to settle into being such an awesome companion. Fletch is doing great in boarding, but we would LOVE to get a foster lined up for him as we head into week two. Somehow he hasn’t come down with any shelter crud, and we are crossing our fingers it stays that way! Please consider fostering or adopting this handsome goofball. We know his person is out there somewhere  Apply at www.scoutshonor.org to foster or adopt Fletch!  May 24, 2026, 2:34 pm
