Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Huxley came to us with his girlfriend Haven a couple of weeks after we took in their 2 baby girls.  Their owner left the country and a family member took them in.  Soon after they realized Haven was pregnant so they kept them until the puppies were ready for homes.  They couldn't keep them permanently because they already had dogs of their own.  So now it's Huxley's turn to find a permanent family that will make his next home his last home.   He's a nice boy and great size at 34 pounds.  Not too small and not too big.  He is house trained and been a nice guest in his foster home.  He was never crate trained and doesn't appreciate being in a crate, not for long anyways (he messed up a crate door to escape when he first arrived).  Update:  he is now crate trained and doing well there when he needs to be in it.   Over the time we've had him, we've tried to place him with different other dogs.  It doesn't seem that he's aggressive, but he is inappropriate with his interactions.  He pounces on this and mouths them and it's scary for the dog.  So we'd like him to be your one and only.  But he's easy to take walks in pubic too so it's not like he has to be isolated from dogs.  We've had him at several adoption events. We are requiring a securely fenced yard for this guy so he can safely explore his yard while out on potty breaks or hanging out with you outside.     Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 6, 2026, 2:36 pm

Story
Animal Information: Nutmeg was surrendered to our rescue partners, Animal Advocacy and Rescue Coalition in TX. They were unable to care for her and trusted that she would be responsibly placed through AARC. Nutmegs mama was a Schnauzer, dad is unknown, but she is 100% cute!  Foster Profile:  Nutmeg is a sweet little girl who loves to play with the big dogs. S he is already kenneling with very little whining and settles in easily. She is learning quickly to potty outside and is already using pads consistently at night when she is let out to potty at 2 am (or if needed) She is sweet with everyone and loves to snuggle. She is easily fitting in with the rest of the pack. Learning boundaries when playing as well. At the moment she isn’t too mouthy and when alerted by a quick human yelp she backs off and doesn’t go for the hand again. She adapts and learns quickly so will be an excellent pup to watch grow up. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner AARC in Del Rio, TX. She will be transferred via Alaska Airlines, arriving to foster care on 01/22/26 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.January 29, 2026, 11:37 am
