Story
Meet Mari! Mari is a female Cairn Terrier mix who can’t wait to find her new forever home. Weighing a petite18 lbs, Mari is gentle, sweet, and loving. She is approximately 5 years old. She is spayed, and up to date on her shots. Cairn Terriers are known for their charming, spirited, and bold personalities. Mari is both playful and affectionate. She is a good fit if you appreciate liveliness and snuggling.  She has plenty of energy and loves to play, making her a joy for families and active individuals.  Cairn Terriers are intelligent and can seem stubborn. She is smart and learns quickly. She can also be a bit independent-minded. Consistent training is key!  What makes Mari wonderful is her curious and adventurous attitude. Her inquisitive nature makes her a natural explorer. Mari is loyal and she likes to form strong bonds with her family.  She likes to stay close and always knows where home is. One of Mari’s favorite pastimes is a good snooze on cozy dog beds or comfy blankets.  She doesn’t mind sleeping with little disturbances in her own space. She can happily sleep in her own room and prefers her own bed.  Mari enjoys a good brushing, and it relaxes her instantly.   Despite Mari’s small size, she has a big, fearless attitude which is common in Cairn Terriers.   Mari is brave and confident. She often thinks of herself as much larger than she is. She’s good with other dogs in the dog park. However, she is known to dominate other dogs who look like her.  She also enjoys some time in front of the mirror and appreciates her reflection.  Because of Mari’s dominant nature, she can be a bit leash reactive.   She is fine with other dogs when her leash is not attached but will become more assertive if she is near another dog while on her leash.   Mari loves tasty treats and will hold off on her scheduled meals in hopes of something worthy of her palate.  Mari does not have accidents inside. However, be watchful for the first five nights as she is sorting out her surroundings.   Mari is perfect for someone who enjoys an energetic, snuggly, and entertaining companion. Mari is not suitable for a home with smaller children. She likes her space at times and prefers a more calm setting. She is not suited for a home with cats or other small critters. Her adoption fee is $450   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Welcome Hannah to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 5-pound small Terrier/Cairn mixed pup. Her mom is Monica. She was on the street as a stray. We took her in to find out she was pregnant. The puppies were born in our Rescue. They have gotten lots of interaction. They are very social and friendly. Hannah is the most fluffy puppy in the rescue and she has slightly longer legs. This will make her a nice walking companion. Her coat is soft and thick. She is a fun pup to pet because of her coat. She is full of personality and very good with her litter group. She goes on a wee pad and is good in a crate. She likes all people and is not shy around strangers. Her mom is 15 pounds. We do think Hannah will be 15 pounds or less full grown. She is not a big shedder. She will make some lucky family a good pet. Anyone who adopts a puppy should not work all day every day because a puppy needs to be with their family and not home alone all day. She needs to finish up her puppy training. She will be a great dog for a social person wanting a matching puppy personality. She would be fine in a smaller condo size yard. She would be fine with other dogs. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is getting spayed, vaccinated and she will be ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also use one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video

Story
Who doesn't love a Hash Brown! The newest member of our Breakfast Club, meet Darling Hash Brown! We believe Hash Brown to be a Cairn Terrier mix, he is about 8 months old and so deserving of a fresh start. Hash Brown came to us from our rescue partners over the Cascades, as they knew we would find him just the perfect spot. Little HB was rescued from a situation where he was found on a short, very heavy chain and left outside....an absolutely awful place for a tiny terrier with a heart of gold. Due to Hash Browns former living situation it takes him a minute to trust men, but he gets there! He is affectionate, sweet, funny and friendly once comfortable. HB came to us looking cute at a distance, but up close we could see how matted his fur was - to the skin. A bath and some grooming and this adorable pup is looking good and ready to find his forever. Out little Hash Brown has received updated vaccinations, a Microchip and will be neutered by our Vet very soon included in his adoption donation.

Story
Meet Flint, an adorable 8-month-old rescue pup with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! 🐶💙 Flint didn’t end up at the shelter because he was a bad dog. His owner surrendered him because they had too many dogs and could no longer care for them all. Now, this sweet boy is waiting for someone to give him the second chance he deserves. At just 8 months old, Flint is still a puppy with so much life, love, and happiness ahead of him. He’s sweet, kind, and playful, and he’s ready to fill his forever home with puppy kisses, silly zoomies, and endless companionship. He loves being around people and is just waiting for someone to see what a special boy he truly is. 🐾 Flint didn’t ask to end up in a shelter, but he’s hoping his next chapter will be the one that changes his life forever. He dreams of a family who will love him unconditionally, teach him new things, take him on adventures, and make sure he never has to wonder where he belongs again. 💕 Flint is ready to leave shelter life behind and start living the life every puppy deserves. He’s only a baby, and his whole future is still ahead of him. All he needs is someone willing to open their heart and home to a sweet boy who has so much love to give. 🏡 Could you be Flint’s forever family? Please consider adopting Flint or sharing his story. His perfect person might be just one share away! One little puppy. One loving family. One forever home. Let's help Flint find his. 🐶❤️

Story
Sarabi is a poodle/terrier mix, about 1½ years old, whose story began for us in Guadalajara under circumstances no mother should have had to face. She had just given birth to five puppies when heavy storms put all six of them at serious risk of drowning. Thankfully, they were found in time and the entire little family was rescued. One of Sarabi’s puppies sadly did not survive. Three of her babies have since been adopted, and now Sarabi and her last puppy are still waiting for their people. Sarabi has already done the hard part. She kept her babies close through a frightening beginning, survived it herself, and made it to safety. Now it is finally her turn. We are fortunate to be the rescue helping Sarabi with the next chapter of her life: finding the person or family who will adore her, make her feel safe, and show her just how beautiful life can be. She is young, she has so much life ahead of her, and somewhere out there are the people who will one day wonder how they ever lived without her. We don’t find homes. We find their people. And we’re looking for Sarabi’s.
