Story
Tucker is a very loving boy. He is a little anxious and takes some time to warm up to new people. Since my toddler has been interested in playing he has been hiding more than he is out. He really deserves a loving home with no young kids. I do believe he is fine around dogs and other cats. He really is the best boy that's why this is so hard.

Story
Happy Girl was living on the streets at an apartment complex when her so called owners put her out to defend for herself. Scared and hungry, she started to come and get food we were putting out for some feral cats we feed there. We knew she was not feral and thought someone was just letting their cat out, but we found out she was abandoned, so we took her in. We got her spayed, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and tested for feline leukemia and FIV (aids) which were both negative. We call her Happy Girl because she is SO HAPPY to be inside again safe and sound! She is super sweet and lovable and seems to get along find with other cats. Dogs? Story
DC is a super sweet orange and white tabby female (yes female- kind of rare) who was abandoned in an area where a lot of cats get abandoned and was scared to death. A kind gentleman who unfortunately has to rescue these abandoned cats, called us to see if we could help with her since he was going away for a few months and we said yes. We took her to be spayed and vaccinated, when we discovered she was already spayed and microchipped to someone who lived about an hour from where he lived. When we called the person who she was registered with (many times), they never called us back, so we are now putting her up for adoption. We had DC updated on her vaccines (FVRCP and rabies) flea and worm treated and tested for feline leukemia and FIV (both negative) She is very playful and affectionate but would be best as an only child, we believe, unless you took the time to introduce her to other animals VERY slowly and then there still is no guarantee she will be ok. If you are interested in DC or any of our castaway cats, please fill out our application at castawaycatsde.com Thank you! FROM FOSTER DC (aka The Tank) Everyone that comes to see DC says what a friendly girl she is. She’s a huge fan of people, but not so much of other cats, so she’d need to be the only queen of the castle. She’s extremely friendly as mentioned, but she’s not clingy; she loves a good cuddle and petting session and playing with you but is also happy to have the breaks of just being in the same room as you. She may need a good amount of space because she loves a good run and has energy to burn. She is such a tank of a cat, very solid and her engine is always purring, but she still loves being held like a baby; especially if it means getting a better view of the birds outside. Her favorite toys are any kind of teasers and anything with catnip in it!

Good with cats,
Story
Wilson is a very sweet, gentle boy who was abandoned by his owners when they moved out :( Poor boy was found cowering behind a building across the street from our fosters, sneaking over to try to get some food they put out for some strays in the area. They saw how scared and hungry he was and befriended him to come closer so they could bring him inside. He is now inside, safe and warm and very happy and has been neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. He is very playful and is fine with other cats and ok with their dogs (still not sure yet). Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Charlie and his mom, along with another litter his mom just had, were living outside of someone's townhouse. Apparently the people who lived there before her just left mom when they moved and of course she was not spayed and had 2 litters :( The landlord did not want them there, so he told her she needed to get rid of them. She called us and also ran an ad in the newspaper and unfortunately people came and took the newborn kittens before they were weaned (all but one which we have ) Since mom had a new litter, she did not want anything to do with poor Charlie so she chased him away. He is a very sweet but shy, neutered male who been vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. He would be good in a quiet household with another kitten or cat and is friends with our other cat Wren.
