Story
DC is a super sweet orange and white tabby female (yes female- kind of rare) who was abandoned in an area where a lot of cats get abandoned and was scared to death. A kind gentleman who unfortunately has to rescue these abandoned cats, called us to see if we could help with her since he was going away for a few months and we said yes. We took her to be spayed and vaccinated, when we discovered she was already spayed and microchipped to someone who lived about an hour from where he lived. When we called the person who she was registered with (many times), they never called us back, so we are now putting her up for adoption. We had DC updated on her vaccines (FVRCP and rabies) flea and worm treated and tested for feline leukemia and FIV (both negative) She is very playful and affectionate but would be best as an only child, we believe, unless you took the time to introduce her to other animals VERY slowly and then there still is no guarantee she will be ok. If you are interested in DC or any of our castaway cats, please fill out our application at castawaycatsde.com Thank you!

Story
Moe is a gorgeous, sweet, shy boy who was being fed by a few people in a neighborhood, but nobody would take him and give him a home:( When we were called to help get some of these cats spayed and neutered, we saw Moe and knew he needed to be inside and loved like he deserved to be! He is a BIG teddy bear, very sweet and loves food and attention. He has been neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. Moe would be best as an only child because he seems to want you all to himself and is not really thrilled with other cats or dogs. If you are interested in Moe or any of our castaway cats, please fill out our application at castawaycatsde.com

Not good with kids, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
CG-short for Crazy Girl is a very sweet and playful kitten who was born outside to a stray cat whose owners moved out and left them behind. Her mom Sparrow (also up for adoption) and her older brother Charlie (also available for adoption) were living outside of someone's townhouse when they moved in and the landlord did not want them there so she called us. She also posted in a local internet post and by the time I got there 3 out of 4 kittens were gone except for CJ. She was still nursing so we took her home along with mom and brother and got them all vetted. (Spayed or neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies ,flea and worm treated and tested for feline leukemia and FIV (both negative)) Now they are all up for adoption either separate or together! CJ is called Crazy Girl because she has A LOT of energy and plays kind of rough, so she would not be a good match for someone with small children or a first-time pet owner. If interested in her or any of our castaway cats, please fill out our application at castawaycatsde.com

Good with cats,
Story
Wilson is a very sweet, gentle boy who was abandoned by his owners when they moved out :( Poor boy was found cowering behind a building across the street from our fosters, sneaking over to try to get some food they put out for some strays in the area. They saw how scared and hungry he was and befriended him to come closer so they could bring him inside. He is now inside, safe and warm and very happy and has been neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. He is very playful and is fine with other cats and ok with their dogs (still not sure yet). Story
Athena was abandoned by humans when they moved away and gave birth outside on the street during the Wilmington Greek Festival. She was found and brought inside the day after she gave birth so she could safely care for her five babies. She has been an attentive mother and has done a great job raising her kittens, but now she is looking for a comfortable, loving forever home! Athena loves getting pets and being the center of attention. She is a lap cat who would love nothing better than to sit around with you watching Netflix all day! She also loves catnip toys. She has been spayed, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV (aids) Athena is fine with other cats but does not like dogs.
