Story
Rubble is a wonderful cat who deserves a safer home! The sweetest cat you will ever meet. Unfortunately he does not get along with our dogs (not his fault, it’s our dogs fault) so we are looking to give him a nice home where he can be loved more. He is a little over a year old. He is house trained and a great cat. Great with kids!

Story
Penelope, whom I've always called Penny, is a princess. She has to have her way and is aggressive about making sure that she gets things to go her way. Especially when it comes to food. Lol. Overall, she is a sweetheart though. She wants to follow you around, rub up against you (on her terms of course lol) & she is so very fluffy. So fluffy & soft. I live in Newark, Delaware and can be reached via xxxx@xxxx.x xxxx@xxxx.x if you have any questions &/or interest in Penny.

Story
Sebastian is the sweetest cat. He may be shy when you initially meet him but once he opens up you won't be able to get enough of him. All he wants to do is play, eat, rest & do it all over again. Some of his favorite things to do include playing with toys of all kind. Whether you have him chase around a toy you're in control of or tossing a ball or other object that he can obtain on his own. He also loves to go out on the balcony & lay out in the sun. Sebastian will be a lovely addition to any home looking for a fun & loving fur baby. I am based in Newark, Delaware & can be reached via email (initially) via reginald.bailey90@gmail.com. Happy to rehome in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, DC & Virginia.

Story
Riley was found living on the streets and we ran into the person who was going to give her to a no so good shelter, so we took her in. She is sweet but quiet and a little shy. But now she has been spayed, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and tested negative for feline leukemia and aids (FIV). She has got the most beautiful coat with 3 different colors of stripes!. If interested in her or any of our castaway cats, please fill out our application at castawaycatsde.com

Story
ABOUT LYDIA & HANNIBAL Lydia is a shy, sweet girl who came to us as a semi-feral kitten. Now about 11 months old, she’s made remarkable progress in learning to trust people. Though she’s still a bit nervous around humans, she absolutely adores other cats and finds great comfort in feline companionship. To help her continue building confidence, we paired her with Hannibal, and it turned out to be the perfect match. Hannibal, just under 2 years old, is a social butterfly with a big heart. He’s friendly, affectionate, and outgoing. He loves meeting new people, gets along wonderfully with other cats, and has done well with respectful children. As Lydia’s “big brother,” Hannibal helps her feel safe and secure, guiding her with calm reassurance. Thanks to his support, Lydia continues to blossom. The two currently live in a free-roaming cat room, where they enjoy the company of other cats and spend their days playing, lounging, and bonding. We would love to see Hannibal and Lydia find a home together! They’d do best in a home with other friendly cats and cat-savvy children who understand that Lydia may need a bit more time and space to feel comfortable. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
This kitten has just arrived! They have come to us on transport from a shelter partner, were found as stray, or surrendered to our care. When kittens arrive to us we are typically unsure of their full background, litter box habits, how they are with handling, or how much socialization with humans/animals they have received. Kittens require a significant amount of patience and training to learn how to behave properly in a home. The first few months of having a kitten is a critical time to improve socialization and help your kitten become confident. Exposing your kitten to all kinds of touch, sounds, people, and animals can ensure a well-socialized adult cat. Remember, kittens aren’t born knowing how to live in a human’s world, it is up to you to teach them how to make good decisions in a positive and caring manner. The more positive interactions they have in their first year of life will set them up for better behavior in the future.
