Riley was found living on the streets and we ran into the person who was going to give her to a no so good shelter, so we took her in. She is sweet but quiet and a little shy. But now she has been spayed, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and tested negative for feline leukemia and aids (FIV). Wren is a beautiful, sweet girl who was rescued off the streets of Philly and was going to have to go back out there because the other rescue could not keep her. I saw how young (8 weeks at the time) she was and knew she could not go back out there, so we took her in. She is spayed, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. She is very sweet but will be shy at first until she gets to know you but then will purr up a storm when she is head booped and pet!

Meet Mr Brody! He was living outside of an apartment complex and was definitely someone's pet but apparently was thrown out or abandoned. He is a very handsome boy and very sweet but would be best as an only child. He has been neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and is negative for feline leukemia and AIDS. Dottie was a great mother, raising two kittens on the street, and made a huge fuss when we were getting her in a carrier. She continued to complain all the way home, but once she and her kittens were made comfortable inside, it was clear the fuss was because she was just a scaredy-cat! She blossomed into a sweetheart overnight! Dottie is still quite shy but is becoming more trusting every day and learning to get enjoyment from being petted. Her gentle nature shines through in the soft trills she uses to communicate her curiosity and affection. Each day is bringing new moments of connection, and she is turning into a sweet and loving companion and recently began seeking out her foster for pets and attention! Dottie will need some time getting used to a new environment, but the bond with her will be worth it as she is gentle, loyal, and sweet. Dottie is spayed, microchipped, flea and worm treated, vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP, and negative for leukemia and FIV. She gets along well with other cats and doesn’t mind the foster’s dog. Hadley and a bunch of other cats were living in a drug house and when the owner died, the landlord was going to throw all of the cats outside in the cold. We got a call and were able to get them before he did this. They have now all been spayed or neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. Charlie and his mom, along with another litter his mom just had, were living outside of someone's townhouse. Apparently the people who lived there before her just left mom when they moved and of course she was not spayed and had 2 litters :( The landlord did not want them there, so he told her she needed to get rid of them. She called us and also ran an ad in the newspaper and unfortunately people came and took the newborn kittens before they were weaned (all but one which we have ) Since mom had a new litter, she did not want anything to do with poor Charlie so she chased him away. He is a very sweet but shy, neutered male who been vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. He would be good in a quiet household with another kitten or cat and is friends with our other cat Wren.

ABOUT CHRISTMAS CHILI AND MISS KRAMPUS! Meet Christmas Chili and Miss Krampus, our pretty mamas! These two came to HAP at separate times, both strays with kittens in tow and both upset at being caged. After a few months of medication and socialization and not much progress, we decided to put the two ladies in a room together, as a last ditch effort. They immediately took to each other and have been inseperatable ever since! Now with each others support and comfort, they two have started to enjoy human attention a little more! Christmas Chili is the more outgoing of the two, she enjoys chirping and booping her human friends, once she gets used to them! Miss Krampus is more on the shy side, though she does enjoy playing with her human friends, as long as they keep their distance! *Christmas Chili and Miss Krampus both adore other cats! We don't recommend they go to a home with dogs or children.

ABOUT PRINCESS! Meet Princess, our sassy tabby girl! This pretty lady was brought in to HAP as a stray, so we don't know much about her past. What we do know is that she lives up to her name! Princess is very much a princess! She demands to live a life of luxury, and who are we to give her any less? She loves yummy treats, cozy beds warmed by sunshine, and all the catnip her little paws can get a hold of! She enjoys being around people, but mostly just so they'll coo over how beautiful she is! Her love language is definitely NOT physical touch, and she holds that boundary very firm. *Princess hates other cats, so she much be the only one in a home. She warmed up to a dog in her foster home, but it took a while and much groveling on the dog's end.
