Story
Scarlett came to us when my sister died suddenly several years back. She is about 13 years old. We think. She was feral when my sister found her at her job. She is independent, she comes to us when she wants scratching and love. Or she starts talking, then you know she wants attention in the form of food, water or affection. She doesn’t need much but a sun spot or two. She comes with a brand new water fountain and automatic feeder. Also, she has a practically brand new cat litter robot. That was the best invention ever!!! This is difficult for me, being that she was my big sister’s cat, but turns out my son has had many allergy issues because of her. And to top it off, we are getting Tito go through a divorce 😞

Story
Mowgli is a 7 year old tabby who was a rescued kitten, we found him on the sidewalk at just a couple weeks old. He was bottle fed and cared for, neutered, and lives in a loving home! He likes his space but warms up to people once he gets to know them. He was my dad’s cat and they were best buds, he loved his nightly routine on my dad’s lap for his nightly pets! My dad suddenly passed away in Oct2025 and Mowgli has just become too much for my mom to care for on her own, she travels often as a caretaker for my grandmother and finding pet care while she is out of town is difficult. Mowgli has been stressed since dad’s death and has urinated on the furniture, and my mom just can’t keep up him anymore. We’re hoping an experienced cat owner will be willing to take him in and love him!

Story
Smokey was a sweet stray kitty that showed up at my front door asking for lots of love. It took him a few months to adapt and to loose fear for humans. He was for a few months living in the wild with other colonies and living under car hoods to suppress the bad cold weather we have had in the past few months. I have been caring and feeding him since October 2025, but as much as I invited him to come inside the home he would not come. Then, the day before thanksgiving 2025 I trapped him and I took him to get neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. He stayed inside my home until December 26, and at that time he was confused and wanted to go back outside. Then, I released him and he came back the next day… he realized that he loved being inside getting lots of care and love. I have a bonded pair, a male and female, my male does not accept Smokey and he is very sad. Smokey tested FIV+ when he was neutered. An FIV+ cat can live a normal life without stress and with peaceful cats.

Story
We met Niko in 2022. He had been roaming in a nearby neighborhood and appeared to be about a year old. When no one reported him missing or claimed him, and no one in that community gave him a home, my husband and I did. Niko is a beautiful, gentle cat, so it’s hard to do this, but after 4 years, we’ve realized that we need to help Niko find a different home. Partly, it’s because we are nearly 80 and have some health issues. Also, we had already taken in Princess, an elderly female cat who had been living in difficult conditions. She is not interested in playing with a young, energetic male cat, and it is best for her to be a solo cat. Niko plays well alone and with humans. He talks a lot and has a very sweet voice. He eats wet and dry food, likes treats, and enjoys our lanai. My husband often takes him for walks, with Niko in a harness. Niko is neutered, chipped, and has had regular vet care by us. Ideally, he should be in a home with a lanai or on a farm, as an indoor-outdoor cat.
