Wet food, dry food, treats — he’s not picky, as long as there’s food involved! Medical Update: Benjamin was diagnosed with diabetes in October 2025. He is currently not on insulin but does well on a liquid oral medication that he takes easily when mixed with his food. His diabetes management is simple—he only requires weekly ketone testing at home, which involves using inexpensive hydrophobic litter and litmus strips easily available on Amazon. Benjamin is not on prescription food but eats Wysong Epigen 90, a high-quality, high-protein dry food that supports his health. While it’s a bit pricier than standard brands, it’s still more affordable than prescription diets. She is somewhat timid at first, but friendly and calm. She is really a sweet and affectionate cat; very calm and gentle. She has come out of her shell in her foster home. Shelley is a fan of catnip, long naps, and following her chosen human around the house. She has been introduced to children, and while she was a little shy (as she is with most strangers), she accepted their pets and was gentle with them. Shelley will do best in a quiet home with humans who are patient as she may take some time to feel safe in a new environment.  Shelley is already spayed and ready to go to her forever home.
