Story
MEDICAL FOSTER NEEDED FOR SWEET OLD GUY OR FOREVER HOME Higgins (aka Professor Higgins) is a 10 year old short-haired tabby neutered male. He was brought in for euthanasia but the owners allowed transfer to rescue. Higgins is diabetic. He requires 1 pill once a day and he is such a good boy for his medicine. He is also currently on a special diabetic dry food but this is not mandatory. He seems fine around other cats and likes to go up to the other cages to meet the other cats. . He weighs about 11 lbs but was once much heavier. Higgins needs a medical foster home or adoption. His medication costs about $100/month but will be provided for him while in foster care. Please give this sweet old man some more good quality time. He deserves it! Please call Robin Dinning at 352-339-3352 if you would like to foster or adopt Higgins. Phone calls only, please, no texts. You can also email our rescue at spcagainesville@hotmail.com for an application. SPCA OF NORTH FLORIDA KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, FLORIDA

Story
Opie is a big boy and loves a good nap. He is great with kids and other cats, dogs and strangers. His preference is sleeping in bed with you- and he’s not picky, you, the kids, the dog bed with the dog. He just likes to be near his family. He will definitely let you know when it’s time for dinner and is a very good guard cat. No stranger will come to the door without him alerting you, if the kids are out of bed before you are- Opie is going to make sure you are aware. He comes to his name, loves to play fetch and is incredibly affectionate. Sadly, he has quite a few medications he needs daily and is medically needy. Opies medical care has become more than our family can afford unfortunately. He needs a family that will be able to give him a home, a family that could love him as much as we do, but who can also give him the medical care that we unfortunately can not afford.

Story
Tulip enjoys company and waits for family members by the door to return home. She will allow you to cuddle her at her request. Takes time to interact with new people. Eat dry food and has occasional wet food treat. Enjoys laying in the sun and scratch post, chasing toys with feathers. We are unable to provide the time to spend with her as our children have many activities and are getting older.

Story
Spaz is about to be 8 years old. I work 3 jobs to make ends meet and do not have the ability to give him the time he needs and deserves. He’s a cuddly boy as long as you’re lying down. I have him trained to come lie beside an arm and place his head in hand for scratches. Once comfortable, he may try to nibble an earlobe like suckling. He’s vocal when he’s hungry or wants water, usually from a bathtub faucet or sink. Sorry, fountains and bowls are last resorts. He hates baths so I use a non water shampoo that smells like a Christmas tree. He has claws and I do clip them. He lives up to his name. He enjoys bird watching, hunting lizards from afar, and window lounging. He is an escape artist, so watch your doors and windows. From time to time he does okay on a leash on a back patio. He’s an indoor cat with outdoor cat dreams.

Angel is a really laid-back cat. She likes to be petted and will even come to you but doesn't like to be held but will curl up and sleep next to you, or on you for hours if you let her. Shes good with other cats after a while of getting used to them and good with kids usually. Overall, Shes a wonderful cat.
