Mika was rescued from under a trailer. She’s shy and skidding at first but will warm up and caress against you! She sleeps all day and is a low energy cat. She enjoys sunbathing and quiet dark areas. My biggest hope is to find a safe and loving home for Mika. A patient owner who will treat her like family!

Story
Hello World, meet our newest addition, little miss Tabitha! Wow, is this a gorgeous and unique kitten. We’ve never seen colors quite like hers … she almost looks like a little fox. She also has pale brown eyes which is very rare in cats. Tabitha was found as a stray, all alone, near an office building on Hilton Head Island. We aren’t sure how she ended up there, but she will tell you her story in due time. We are still learning about her, but she is estimated at 4-6 months old and quickly is learning how awesome it is to be inside, safe and warm. She is a little shy and scared, but we think she should come around just fine. Tabitha is in line for being spayed and to get her final vetting, but she would sure love to meet potential furever families! We will update her bio as we know more about her. If you are interested in adopting this beautiful kitten, please fill out our required, easy online application, which can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SPLC/Cat For the safety of our animals, a home check is also a requirement of adoption, but we make this as unobtrusive and convenient as we can. Thank you for considering a rescue kitten!

Story
Hello World, meet Mork! He is PAW-SOME! His adoption fee is being donated by an anonymous donor! If he adopts, it will open up foster care space for three others in desperate need. So let’s find him a great home! Mork is an adorable, friendly and flashy little Tabby fellow with white paws who was found as a stray, along with his sister, Mindy (now adopted) and has thrived in his foster home. But like all of our cats and kittens, he is SUPER ready for his furever home, where he can be safe and loved for the remainder of his days. Mork is very social, outgoing and always down for a cuddle. He loves playing, eating, goofing around and all things kitten-centric. He really will make anyone a phenomenal new feline family member. Someone is going to be lucky to adopt this special boy. Is that you? Mork is great with other cats, so can be adopted into a home with a cat friend looking for a new pal. But we don’t think he'd object to being your spoiled one and only either. He really does want to be around his people all the time. He is about 5-6 months old, great with his litter box habits and isn’t picky about food. He loves treats, every toy on the box and being all around amazing. If you are interested in adopting Mork, kindly fill out our required application, which can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SPLC/Cat For the safety of our animals, a home check is a requirement of adoption, but we make this as unobtrusive and convenient as possible. Thank you for considering a rescue kitten!

Story
Meet Phelps, the tiny champion with the heart of a gold-medalist. This brave little 3-month-old boy earned his name after the Olympian for a very special reason — he was found in the water, fighting with everything he had. And just like a true athlete, he pushed through, recovered, and came out stronger than ever. Today, Phelps is a bright, affectionate kitten who brings joy everywhere he goes. He’s playful, curious, and always ready to explore his surroundings with that same determined spirit that helped him overcome his rough start. Whether he’s chasing toys, curling up for snuggles, or showing off his adorable purr, he does it all with the confidence of a champion. Phelps is ready to dive into his next big adventure — a loving home. If you’re looking for a resilient, sweet, and spirited companion, this little Olympian-in-training might just be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Lady Bug 🐞 Lady Bug is a very sweet, shy, and loving 2-year-old cat with a true diva personality. She can be timid at first, but once she feels safe, she absolutely enjoys cuddles and smooches. She’s quiet, gentle, and always nearby—just one of those peaceful souls who’s part of the family even when you don’t see her. She loves her wet food served on top of her dry food (as any queen should), and she enjoys treats as well. Lady Bug gets along great with other cats and dogs. She’s most active at night, where she loves to play and “slay,” and you may catch her playing during the day on occasion—but she’s mostly a calm, observant presence. We are heartbroken to say that we must rehome her due to a developing case of asthma in our home that has been linked to cats. This decision was not made lightly, and we are looking for a loving, patient person who can appreciate her gentle nature and give her the calm, caring home she deserves.

Story
Meet Leo, a young orange gentleman with a big personality 🧡 Leo is playful, curious, and full of life. He loves to steal hair ties, explore his surroundings, and stay close to his human. While he enjoys cuddles on his own terms, he’s happiest being near you and involved in whatever’s going on. He’s used to being around dogs and would do best in a home with another playful cat to match his energy. Unfortunately, we already have several long-term cats, and Leo was being cared for on behalf of a friend who can no longer take him back due to their youngest child developing asthma. We are looking for a loving, committed home where Leo can thrive and continue to be the joyful, energetic companion he is. Only good homes filled with love and care need apply.
