Story
MEET LOUIE AND LESTER! Life was perilous for these green-eyed brothers, born to a cat who had been abandoned at a trailer park. Thankfully, residents Jeremy and Meagan took it upon themselves to help trap the strays that were piling up in the park. Their happy ending will come when their very own family comes to take them home! Louie, who has more white, and Lester are about a year and a half old. They've been neutered, wormed, vaccinated and are very good boys with their litter box. They get along great with other cats, preferring to avoid any drama at the shelter. If there's any trouble, they're never the instigators! Unfortunately, their ears were tipped when they went to the clinic to be neutered. They had just been trapped, and we weren't sure at that point if they'd be adoptable. Happily, they decided our intentions were honorable after all, once they spent some time decompressing in the bathroom where they couldn't avoid out attentions. Because of their difficult start in life, they are a bit shy with new people and will need some time and understanding while they adjust to their new home; something they've never had before. A calm adult home or one with older kids would probably be the best fit for them. These sweet, lovable boys will reward you many times over for your efforts! If you're the person this band of brothers has been waiting for all their lives, please fill out an adoption application on our website using this link: https://pawsitiveoutreach.org/adoption-application or call Gina at (480)779-9208. The $80 adoption fee for the pair will make these handsome devils yours, all yours!

Story
YOU'RE GONNA LOVE ULYSSES! Ulysses, a very friendly, talkative fellow, has been trying to tell us all about the Odyssey he'd been on before coming to our shelter. Unfortunately, he doesn't speak English and we're not entirely proficient in Cat. Suffice to say it was quite an ordeal and he's very glad it's over. He'll be the happiest boy in the whole wide world when he finally finds the forever home he's been searching for! We think Ulysses is about 2 years old. He's been neutered, wormed, vaccinated and is a very good boy with his litter box. Are there words enough to tell you how wonderful he is? Perhaps not, but we shall try. Most cats coming into the shelter take some time to adjust and get integrated into the herd. If you've ever had to start school in the middle of the year, you'll know just how they feel. As soon as Ulysses had recovered sufficiently from his neutering surgery, he marched out of his cage to explore his interesting new world. Being a bigger guy, the other cats took umbrage to his presence for the first day or two, and several growled and smacked at him. Did this deter him from investigating his new digs? Not in the least! He walked through the fray like a world traveler who's seen it all, unphased by their less than welcoming behavior. Ulysses gets along great with anyone and anything. People are his most favorite species, though it's questionable whether we deserve that honor, especially considering what happened to him in his former life. He loves being picked up, petted and hugged so the more quality time he can spend with his special humans, the happier our adventurer will be. To give this charming fellow a safe place by the fire and in your heart forever, please fill out an adoption application on our website using this link: https://pawsitiveoutreach.org/adoption-application or call Gina at (480)779-9208. For his $60 adoption fee, Ulysses will happily curl up in your lap and be the best buddy you've ever had!

INTRODUCING THE CREAMSICLE CREW! If summer had whiskers and a purr, it would look like this sunny quintet. From an out-of-control mess with dozens of cats, they have blossomed under the loving care of their foster moms, Becca and Faith. About two months old, they've had their first kitten shots and are very good kids with their litter box. With our vet, Dr Laura, away on a trip till mid-July, we're going to do something a bit different with these cuties because only Alfred weighed enough to be neutered at our last clinic. For the others, we're looking for forever families who will foster them until they are altered in July, at which time they will be become your very own little fuzz balls. We would just need them to be brought to Dr Laura's the morning of the clinic and picked up after the surgery, at which point they will be your, all yours! here's what Faith, who knows them best, has to say about her charges: Enid – The sweetest girl, she's the tiniest but mightiest ray of sunshine. She's definitely a lap kitty but also loves to play! A social butterfly who brings joy wherever she goes. Ingrid The Brave is Enid's opposite. She's much more playful and loves to jump on everything and investigates first! This sweet girl will also curl up near you when for snuggle time when her battery needs recharging. Edmund is an exuberant little fellow who loves playing with his siblings, and generally being crazy, as his job description requires. When he's tuckered out, he becomes loving. He's also a chow hound. They'd love to be adopted in pairs since kittens do best with a buddy to play and snuggle with. To meet them, please fill out an adoption application using this link: https://pawsitiveoutreach.org/adoption-application or call Gina at (480)779-9208. $160 will get you a pair of sunny sweethearts, or $85 for one, all year, every year!

MEET BART AND BAXTER! This handsome pair are from the same out-of-control situation that began when a neighbor moved away, leaving their unaltered cats behind. Those 3 cats soon turned into many dozens, as more and more kittens like Bart and Baxter came on the scene. Thankfully Brandie, one of our heros, took it upon herself to help solve the ever-worsening problem. All have now been fixed and are ready for their forever homes! Bart and Baxter are about 9 months old, they've been neutered, wormed, vaccinated and are very good boys with their litter box. They look pretty much like mirror images, apart from the fact that Bart, unfortunately, has a clipped ear. (Baxter also has white spot on his chest). The ear tipping was done because initially they were being returned to where they came from because the shelter was packed and the neighbors who had been caring for them said they'd continue to do so. When they decided to move this spring (Yikes!) we put plan B in high gear: getting them all out of there and finding them forever homes. A much better option for them, so they'll be happy, safe and well cared for. Sometimes things just work out for the best! Bart and Baxter are very friendly, playful, lovable boys who get along well with other cats. They also love people, cuddles, most any toy, canned food and treats! Very curious and engaging they like being in the middle of whatever is going on and are always up for new adventures. They're good buddies and would be thrilled to be adopted together but would do ok adopted separately, if necessary, especially if there was a kitty buddy or two in their new home. To meet these charming fellows, please fill out an adoption application on our website using this link: https://pawsitiveoutreach.org/adoption-application or call Gina at (480)779-9208. The $120 adoption fee for the pair (or $65 for one sweetheart) will be the best deal you've ever made!

Story
INTRODUCING MIKA! Eyes as big as saucers is hardly hyperbole with this stunning girl. She was found in an outbuilding at a ranch with her 4, newborn kittens when the resident dog alerted their owners to some stowaways hiding out in there. Not knowing what to do with them, they were brought to Newport in the hope of finding someone who would know how to care for her and her brood. Serendipitously, our former fosters Lynn and her daughter Mika (our feline Mika's namesake) happened to run into the person searching for help. They took Mika and her little family, but being unable to foster them themselves, brought them to Susan, another one of our wonderful fosters. Phew, safe at last! We think Mika is about a year old. She's been spayed, wormed, vaccinated and is a very good girl with her litter box. The shelter, where she now is, has proved a bit overwhelming, but she's settling in and gets along well with the other cats. A little bit cautious with new people after all she's been through, she just needs a nice, calm home and a little time to settle in. She's a sweet girl once she knows she can trust you and enjoys being petted. After her long and winding road, she'll blossom when she finally finds the normal, happy life that has eluded her so far. To give our pretty Mika the safe harbor she's been searching for all her life, please fill out an adoption application on our website using this link: https://pawsitiveoutreach.org/adoption-application or call Gina at (480)779-9208. Her $65 adoption fee will bring her home at last!
