I adopted Lithia about 5 years ago when I loved out on my own. She has been a good cat. She is very loving, affectionate, and loves attention. She is good with other cats once she gets warmed up to them. She's had one experience with a large dog, and she didn't do very well with the dog. She mostly lays around, is very curious, and can be very vocal when she's hungry. She's not territorial. She loves to lay in the same spot and also likes sun bathing. I, unfortunately, cannot keep her as I moved apartments recently and have had some issues with my landlord.

MEET LOUIE AND LESTER! Life was perilous for these green-eyed brothers, born to a cat who had been abandoned at a trailer park. Thankfully, residents Jeremy and Meagan took it upon themselves to help trap the strays that were piling up in the park. Their happy ending will come when their very own family comes to take them home! Louie, who has more white, and Lester are about a year and a half old. They've been neutered, wormed, vaccinated and are very good boys with their litter box. They get along great with other cats, preferring to avoid any drama at the shelter. If there's any trouble, they're never the instigators! Unfortunately, their ears were tipped when they went to the clinic to be neutered. They had just been trapped, and we weren't sure at that point if they'd be adoptable. Happily, they decided our intentions were honorable after all, once they spent some time decompressing in the bathroom where they couldn't avoid out attentions. Because of their difficult start in life, they are a bit shy with new people and will need some time and understanding while they adjust to their new home; something they've never had before. A calm adult home or one with older kids would probably be the best fit for them. These sweet, lovable boys will reward you many times over for your efforts! INTRODUCING CARRIE AND NORMAN! Here's the adorable brother- sister team that's sure to make you feel grateful this Thanksgiving! These two sweet peas are ready for the holiday season, and we're thrilled to introduce them to you. Their mom was trying to be protective of them when she hauled them off in the woods soon after they were born. Not the best plan for getting them used to people, but they've blossomed under the loving care of Becca and Faith, our wonderful fosters. They'll need a little time to get used to their new family because of their initial start in life, but once they know they can trust you they'll become your loyal companions, with lots of purring while they snuggle in. Norman and Carrie are about 5 months old. They've been spayed/neutered, wormed, vaccinated and are good kitties with their litter box. They get along well with other cats and have been fostered with dogs. They've got all their job skills mastered, now they just need a permanent position in a loving family like yours! INTRODUCING ARLO! This adorable little muffin was rescued along with his two brothers by a family with a baby and a toddler. Five babies were a bit much for them to handle, so they asked us to find Arlo a home where he'll be loved for ever and ever! Arlo is about 5 months old, he's been neutered, wormed, vaccinated and is a good boy with his litter box. He gets along great with other cats and would love another kitty to play and snuggle with in his new home, if possible. If you don't happen to already have one on hand, he has buddies at the shelter who would love to accompany him home. A playful, friendly little fellow, he has a great purr that revs right up whenever you pet him. Poor Arlo has had a rough ride in his short life, first being abandoned and then losing his brothers and what he thought was his forever home. Smokey is ready for adoption!! This ultra handsome and debonair guy is ready to bring his larger than life personality into your home! Smokey joined The POUNCE Alliance after he was found wandering the streets in late November, at a time when the shelters were full and unable to bring him in.  He was microchipped, but sadly an owner never came forward for him.  A friend of Smokey’s finders took him in as he wasn’t getting along with the male cats in their home. They reached out to us and agreed to foster Smokey through POUNCE. It was clear that he was older and needed a full exam and work up. After he received care, we found out Smokey was in need of a dental care and was suffering from urinary crystals. After coming to The POUNCE Alliance, Smokey received necessary medical treatment for his urinary crystals by being put on a prescription diet, and received a dental to clean his teeth and remove ones that required extraction.  There was 10 teeth that needed extracted. He has been living in the loving home of his foster where he has been thriving and enjoying a life of comfort and care.  Smokey is a wonderful cat with a loving and engaging personality.  He absolutely loves his people, will enjoy snuggling up with you on your lap - especially if you have a cozy blanket for him to rest on - and sleeping next to you at night in your bed. Although Smokey is quiet at night, during the day he loves to carry on conversations with the humans around him and  will be your constant companion, following you from room to room.  He is very well mannered, respectful of countertops, doors, and has impeccable litter box manners. Smokey is confident and independent, enjoys head rubs but may be selective about being  petted on his tummy and body. He prefers to have human company during the day rather than be left alone for long periods of time, and will love to have a window to look out of during the day.  Smokey will want to have a cat tree or other things to satisfy his feline need to scratch. A few things to keep in mind as you consider Smokey for your companion: He will do best as the only animal in the home because he may not get along well with either cats or dogs. He has not done well in the past with other male cats, we don’t know how he would do with a female. He currently lives with two small dogs, but does get upset when they get in his bubble and will chase them off. For this reason, it’s likely ideal for him to find a home as the only pet or with one calm animal that keeps to themselves and doesn’t push his boundaries.  Due to his history of urinary crystals, Smokey will require being permanently on a prescription urinary diet.  He is currently eating Hill’s Prescription Diet C/D. As follow ups to his extractions upon intake, he will need annual exams to ensure that his mouth remains healthy, as any cat does!  If you are looking for a loving, engaging kitty companion who will be your snuggle buddy and constant side kick, then Smokey is the cat for you!   Transport is available to approved adopters throughout the PNW! MEET THE CONSTELLATIONS!! These cuties joined POUNCE when their mama was found heavily pregnant by a Good Samaritan. Mama Ara ended up giving birth while they were seeking rescue placement for her. Along came POUNCE foster parent Amanda, who heard about her through the vet clinic she works at. Amanda’s last fosters had just flown the coop and she was ready to take on more felines in need. She reached out to see if we could provide the financial support and of course we said yes!  Mama Ara is just a kitten herself at estimated maybe a year old. She loves her babies so much and is bonded with Lynx so will need to be adopted with him! Any of the babies would also love to go in pairs!  Ara is a young mama with a soft heart and a playful spirit. Though she may be a little shy at first, she quickly blossoms into a loving, affectionate companion once she feels safe. She adores her babies and is often seen playing and tumbling around with them, showing off her youthful energy and sweet nature. Ara is a big fan of wand toys and loves interactive playtime. When she’s not chasing toys or mothering her kittens, she’ll wind between your legs, purring and asking for gentle pets. With time and trust, she’ll happily flop over for belly rubs and more snuggles. Ara is a true sweetheart who deserves all the love in the world.
