Story
Lilly was a feral kitten when adopted from HHHS about 4 years ago. She needs time to get to know you in her own way. If she doesn't want to be held or petted, she might nip at you. Her "Dad" let her do things on her own time, never forcing. She came around when she wanted to. She has no front claws so must be an INDOOR ONLY CAT. She's NEVER been outside. She's litter trained and comes with litter and the food she eats. She would do best in a single or couple household. NO CHILDREN. She does love attention, as long as she chooses it. Her Dad could not bear to take her to the shelter, for fear she might not be adoptable. But to the right person, she'd be a good companion. Someone gentle, with patience would be idea for Lilly.

Story
Our little Munchkin - aka Lunchbox - is ready to find his forever home! For those who haven't been following Munchkin’s story, here is a quick recap to get you up to speed: Munchkin joined RCHS last September as a very sick 6 month old boy. After his arrival, we quickly confirmed that he has the rare condition of congenital hypothyroidism. We soon learned he also has a heart abnormality and malformed hips. His hypothyroidism is now well controlled with medication and he is also on medication to slow down any development of secondary heart disease. His malformed hips required bilateral FHOs (femoral head ostectomy), which he received in March. Through it all, this sweet boy has been a bundle of love and cuddles and he's now ready to be adopted! This handsome guy may greet you with a little grumpy face at first, but don’t be fooled, it’s all part of his charm! Give him a little time and patience, and you’ll see his true personality shine! He is a sweet love bug who loves to play! He’s currently still on the mend from his surgery and doing better every day. Lately, he’s been showing off by jumping onto surfaces and zooming around to chase his housemates. It’s been amazing to watch his confidence (and energy!) come back. When he’s not practicing his parkour skills, he’s all about cozy time. He loves snuggling up in bed and will happily keep your pillow warm while you’re gone. He’d thrive with a playful cat buddy who enjoys chasing and wrestling, but he’d also be perfectly content as your one-and-only, soaking up all the love and attention. He is okay with respectful dogs as well! If you’re looking for a cat who starts a little spicy but turns into a total softie, Lunchbox might just be your perfect match! All kitties go to their new homes spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Story
*Courtesy Post Could you give Charlie a chance? This sweet - and oh-so-handsome - boy turned up at a colony caretaker's feeding station earlier this year. Charlie clearly had a home once, and deserves a chance to find one again. From his caretaker: According to the vet, he is about a year old. He showed up at one of our feeding locations in January. In the beginning, he was so scared, he would sprint away as soon as he heard us coming. But then one day, in early February, he just stopped running and came up to me and let me pet him. That’s all it took! He waits for us every morning and evening. He sleeps in one of our cat huts every night. So far, he is friendly with everyone he has come into contact with, even kids. He loves belly rubs and attention in general. He can be picked up for short amounts of time and will sit on your lap for pets. He is neutered and has his rabies shot. We have no idea how he would do in a home or with other pets. But, if someone would take a chance on him, I think he would be a great pet! *Courtesy posting is a service RCHS provides to our community members who need to rehome an animal. This animal is not with RCHS and all information is provided by the animal's current guardian. Now Accepting Applications for My Emotional Support Human! Pros: 🧡 Extremely adorable. 🧡 Professional bug hunter. 🧡 Harness adventure enthusiast. 🧡 Get along with dog friends and love sunbathing with them. 🧡 Will happily keep you company while respecting your personal bubble. 🧡 Have excellent taste in steak and tuna treats. Cons: 😼 Have the personality of a tiny orange CEO. 😼 Being held? Hard pass... unless I decide otherwise. 😼 Occasionally wake up and choose chaos. 😼 Will absolutely judge your life choices. 😼 Come with built-in commentary. (Translation: I'm chatty, so apartment life with grumpy neighbors probably isn't my calling.) I'm not the clingy, Velcro kitty who's glued to your lap 24/7. I'm more of a 'we can exist in the same room while I supervise everything you do' kind of companion. Every now and then I'll cash in my cuddle coupon, but I like to keep you guessing. I'm still young, playful and convinced every teaser toy is my mortal enemy. Backyard harness adventures? Count me in. Spider plants? Delicious. Dog friends? The best wrestling partners ever. Basically, I'm a Sour Patch Kid in cat form — sweet, spicy, hilarious, and guaranteed to keep you entertained. If you've been looking for a cat with a huge personality instead of a cookie-cutter lap cat, congratulations... your tiny orange diva has arrived! 🧡 All kitties go to their new homes spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
