Story
Nugget was found in a Walmart parking lot a year ago at a couple months old. He is now 1 as of November 25’. I live alone in a 2 bedroom apartment. He’s gotten older and needs a bigger family with more attention. Would do best with a minimum 2 person family with a cat or dog (or both if already established). Nug is extremely friendly when friends and family come visit. Loves to play with humans, himself, and another pet. Loves to talk. At bedtime he quiets down, loves to cuddle, or plays by himself in another room quietly. During the day he also loves to play and to be picked up whenever. He has never shown aggression or biting except for play fighting gently. Comes with window hammock, automatic changeable set portioned food dispenser, stainless steel litter box, toys, treats, shampoo, brush, clippers. These items are all optional.

Story
Mochi was my first cat—adopted during the COVID shutdown when she was just 8 weeks old. For the past 5 years, she’s been my little shadow, always curious, smart, and full of personality. She’s incredibly affectionate with people and loves to play, especially fetch with balled-up tinfoil. She’s also a bit of a trickster—she’s figured out how to open cupboards, unscrew feeder lids, and will find bread no matter where you hide it. Recently, I moved in with my girlfriend who has multiple cats, and unfortunately, Mochi hasn’t been able to get along with them despite weeks of slow introductions. With a baby on the way, we’ve realized that rehoming her is the kindest and safest option for everyone involved—including Mochi. She’s a wonderful, loving cat who just needs to be the only pet in a quiet home where she can thrive as the center of someone’s world. Letting her go is incredibly hard, but I know she’ll bring so much joy to the right person.

Story
Gizmo is a very loving cat. She likes to cuddle, she loves pats on the head. She is very quiet unless she is hungry then she'll talk a little. She likes to sit in your lap. She is a very needy cat, needs lots of attention and she gets jealous easy. She has always been an indoor cat. She likes to climb up your leg or back. She likes to curl up in a small box and sleep. She likes when both hands of a person are on her not just one hand, especially if your trying to work on a computer, she wants attention. She will follow you around.

Story
Bojangles was found barely alive after ingesting rat poison, and his journey has been nothing short of heartbreaking. While the emergency treatment revived him, he still had another battle to conquer. Bojangles was also found with defective back legs, making it difficult to walk. Michele’s Rescue stepped in to save him from euthanasia, and we’ve been fighting to give him a chance at life. While special braces were made to help bend his legs into a normal position, but it wasn't enough and his legs weakened further. Thankfully, a specialist at Blue Pearl Vet Hospital has given us hope. Bojangles’ tendons are too short/tight, and his hip sockets are underdeveloped, but with the right treatment, he can still thrive! We’re planning to take him to Purdue University for further care, but the anticipated costs are overwhelming. We need your help to raise funds for his treatment. Bojangles is full of love and wants to play like any other kitten (he is only 8 months old)! Please consider donating and sharing his story. Every dollar brings him closer to a normal life. Let’s give this little guy the future he deserves! Like, comment, and share to help spread the word. ##2566542##

Story
My name is Carmen and I have had a journey throug my life. I originally came all the way from Roatán, Honduras to escape the overpolulation and continual fight for survival. Flight Angels of Roatan, a Honduras-based rescue, flew me to Michele's Rescue to find my American family. I am so ready for a second chance at life!  I was then adopted, but the person who adopted me returned me for reasons that didn't make sense. She stated that Carmen was having behavioral issues and didn't get along with her cat when in fact, she is the best mannered cat and gets along with all of our cattery cats, including the ones at my home. Needless to say we feel that Carmen was just not wanted. I am very sweet, I LOVE to be petted and brushed!  Head scratches are the absolute best too!  I am a petite girl at only 6lbs and so exotic looking - with a small face, large ears, long athletic body and long legs. When I was taken in in Honduras, I lived in a foster home with a dog and other kitties.    I am currently at the PetSmart in Kentwood, MI  - will you please stop by and see me? Please apply at michelesrescue.com and once approved, we will schedule a personal meet-and-greet! ##2372369##
