Story
Mochi was my first cat—adopted during the COVID shutdown when she was just 8 weeks old. For the past 5 years, she’s been my little shadow, always curious, smart, and full of personality. She’s incredibly affectionate with people and loves to play, especially fetch with balled-up tinfoil. She’s also a bit of a trickster—she’s figured out how to open cupboards, unscrew feeder lids, and will find bread no matter where you hide it. Recently, I moved in with my girlfriend who has multiple cats, and unfortunately, Mochi hasn’t been able to get along with them despite weeks of slow introductions. With a baby on the way, we’ve realized that rehoming her is the kindest and safest option for everyone involved—including Mochi. She’s a wonderful, loving cat who just needs to be the only pet in a quiet home where she can thrive as the center of someone’s world. Letting her go is incredibly hard, but I know she’ll bring so much joy to the right person.

Story
I got this kitten from a litter from a barn cat. She is very playful! She is cuddly and loves to be around people! She has 5 toes on all of her feet! We have another cat and a dog and she gets along great with them! We are only looking to rehome her because she occasionally pees on things. She knows how to use the litter box and does the majority of time. I took her to the vet and had her checked and they said everything came back good and that they think it may be behavioral. We are an extremely busy family and don’t have the time she needs to remedy the problem. This is very hard for us because we really love her, but we feel this is the best for her.

Story
Loki is a 4yr old mixed tabby rescued from a stray litter. Neutered and fully vaccinated, he is healthy and up to date on all routine care. His Personality is shy at first, but transforms in a snuggle buddy once he gets to know you. Playful, loves chasing toys and exploring. Would be happy with another cat to keep him company. He eats Wellness Cat food, wet and dry. Looking to rehome him, I am retiring soon and plan to travel, he deserves a home where someone is home more often or another cat to keep him company. He does have separation anxiety. If you are ready to welcome a playful, loving, great snuggler into your home, He would love to meet you! Please reach out to arrange a visit!

Story
My master will soon not have a place to live. He feels afraid I will not have a home. He knows I'm afraid to sleep in a car. He has no one who wants me but him. My master adopted me just before the county animal services officer was going to put me in a transport container 13 years ago. Almost all the time I'm happy to look out at nature through the tall screen of my master's apartment's sliding glass door, to listen to my master tell me positive things like "you are big and furry," and "you are big cat" even though I'm small. But what will happen if I am alone in a car? I've been a good cat for 13 years. I need a good home.

Story
Meet Lucy! Lucy is a very sweet girl. She is currently in a foster home with one of our veterinarians and our other kitten Linus. She does wonderful with other cats/kittens and children!  Lucy was found as a stray so we don't know much about her past life. We believe she is about 15-16 weeks old (as of 11/11/25). Her foster mom says she is an amazing kitten and if she could adopt her she would! Lucy is spayed, current on age appropriate vaccines, FIV/FeLV and heartworm tested and negative for all, microchipped, and fecal tested and negative for parasites. The $125.00 adoption fee ( payable by cash or check only ) includes: spay/neuter; vaccinations; microchip; fecal testing w/ giardia, flea prevention, and FIV/FeLV testing. Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Cats for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application.  Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption. Story
Diamond gets his name from the little diamond on his nose, and his personality is just as special. He arrived at the rescue very shy, but with time and gentle encouragement, he has truly started to come out of his shell. He came in with several friends, including a beautiful long-haired girl named Eenie (his soulmate). Diamond absolutely adores her, greeting her with the biggest head bonks whenever he’s ready to come out and play. Diamond now happily comes out for treats, wet food and visits from his human friends. He and Eenie are a bonded pair and are hoping to find a quiet, calm home together. They would do best without children or dogs. This sweet duo is ready for someone who will give them the peaceful life they deserve.
