Story
Meet Leo, our sweet 13-year-old senior cat who is looking for a quiet, laid-back home. He loves one-on-one attention, being held, nuzzling into your ear, and cuddling on your chest while purring contentedly. Leo would do best with an older person or couple and has had some litter box challenges, but we believe he does well when kept on one floor with a well-lit, easily accessible litter box. We need to find Leo a new home—or even a stable temporary placement—as our busy household can no longer provide the calm environment he needs to thrive. Our current situation requires he be rehomed immediately.

MEET ROSIE: A Sweet Soul Looking for her Quiet Sanctuary 🐾Rosie is a 6-year-old former stray who decided she is ready to trade the outdoor life for a cozy couch! She is an absolute sweetheart who is fully vetted, healthy, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. She is also on Revolution prevention. Because she is naturally skittish and has been chased by small dogs on our property, Rosie is looking for a very specific forever home where she can finally relax.Rosie’s Wishlist: Adult-Only Home: No small children to startle her. No Dogs: She needs a canine-free environment to feel safe. A Quiet Space: Patient humans who will let her decompress at her own pace.Earning the trust of a shy cat is the most rewarding feeling in the world. Could your quiet home be her perfect match?

Story
Polly came into my life during a difficult time and has been a wonderful companion! She is six years old and keeps getting sweeter and more social as she ages. All she wants is to be pet and loved…she will love you right back. It breaks my heart to be searching for a new home for her. My daughter is 10 months old and has been having severe allergy symptoms from the kitty. We have explored many different set ups for our home to keep Polly but it is resulting in her being in a space alone and not getting the love she deserves and needs. Polly has shown no behavioral issues since I’ve owned her these past 6 years. She has been around children and has done very well. It has been a few years since she has been around dogs or other cats. She did well at that time and I don’t have concerns with her being in a home with other pets as long as they are slowly introduced. This girl will warm your heart and give you all the cuddles you want!

Story
Smokey is a sweet kitty, very mild, easy going. She was born in October 2019 so she will be 7 years old in October 2026. She likes to be held about once a day and a few pets here and there but otherwise very content on her own. She is good with other cats, and kids, even young kids, unknown about dogs. We live in an apartment and she was originally an outside cat when I got her at 1 year old, and she continues to want to be outdoors often and there is just no way for us to accommodate this for her. When she is upset about not being able to be outside, she will sometimes spray indoors (though she was spayed) and that is why I am rehoming her. Smokey needs to go to a home where she is outdoors or has access to going outside regularly. Please apply if you are looking for a loyal cat who is super sweet and if you have a home she can roam outdoors. She’s a sweet girl and I will miss her but she will be the perfect pet for the right home ❤️

Story
My boys are brothers, I got them when they were about 6 weeks old. They are now 3 years old. They have never been apart from each other and they have never been outside other than to travel by car. They are really good cats. Pluto is a little more needy attention wise. Ghost mostly does his own thing. They love to play fight with each other. I really love them and would like to keep them, but my grandchildren are allergic.

Story
This is Irena, a very sweet and loving girl approximately 9 ½ years old. Since her adoption at around 8 months old from a veterinarian’s office, she has lived well in a home with 2 other cats. One of the other cats who came into her life around 3 ½ years ago as a kitten has become more aggressive towards Irena and therefore been causing her a significant amount of anxiety. It has gotten to the point where Irena would likely be happier in a quieter and more peaceful environment. She loves to be talked to, petted, belly rubs, and in your lap for cuddles. Although she may be shy at first, either when meeting a new person or cat, once she gets to know you, she will want to be your best friend and companion.

Story
Mario Mario is a male Tabby DSH DOB: April, 2023 Adoption fee: $75.00 I am a goofy and playful cat, slowing calming down as I grow up. I can be a little shy at first with new people, when I get to know you then you will really see the interesting personality I have! I can be affectionate at times, and I can be vocal when I am seeking out attention. I do often seek out attention. I enjoy receiving pets and scratches! I can be quite independent as I grow older, I like to sit back and observe everything around me (especially nature and birds!) I enjoy taking long naps and relaxing! I do enjoy cuddling up with the other cats in the room and playing with them. I really enjoy toys! I am a sweet and nice boy with a big goofy personality! I should do well with other cats, if they are looking for a playmate. I would do okay as a playmate and cuddle friend for another cat. With a slow and proper introduction, I should do well with a cat friendly dog. I would do better with older children. If you are interested in being my adopter, please visit my shelter's website and complete the adoption application that is available there! HSSCM.org you can find the applications under the "adoptions" tab.

Story
Perry Perry is a Male DSH DOB: May of 2025 Adoption fee: $75.00 **I am bonded with my "brother" Pascal and we should go to a home together** I had a pretty rough start to life, but I have grown a lot since then! I can be kind of selective when it comes to people. I can be a bit stubborn and picky, but deep down I am a big lover. I was in foster for a few months and my foster would say I am a big baby. I love to run and play with toys, other cats, and even sometimes dogs. I enjoyed watching cat tv and even some regular tv too. I have a big cuddly side to me and I can be quite the lover. While it might take me some time to show you, I do have a large personality. I am goofy, playful, and sweet. I would do my best in a home with another cat(s)! I would also be happy to go with one of my cat friends here at the shelter! I would prefer not to be an only cat, having another cat helps my confidence shine! I would do okay in a home with a dog, with a proper and slow introduction! I would do my best with older kids who respect my boundaries and understand my personality. I am a sweet boy ready for my forever home!

Story
Pascal Pascal is a Male DSH DOB: March of 2025 Adoption fee: $75 **I am bonded with my "brother" Perry and we should go to a home together** I had a rough start to life. When I first came to the shelter, I was what some may call “feral,” although I would say selective. I have slowly come around since then. I was in foster for a few months, and I really came out of my shell. It may take me a while to show you, but I have a huge personality! I love to play with toys, other cats, and even my reflection. I enjoyed watching nature outside and cat TV (even some regular TV too!) I have a very cuddly and snuggly side to me as well! I am goofy and silly, and I will be sure to make you laugh! Confidence is something I am still working on everyday! I would do my best in a home with another cat(s)! I would also be happy to go with one of my cat friends here at the shelter! I am not going to be an only cat; I really need other cats to help bring out my confidence. I really rely on other cats. I would do okay in a home with a dog, with a proper and slow introduction! I would do my best with older kids who respect my boundaries and understand my personality. I am a sweet boy looking for my forever home!
