He’s a very sweet loving cat, loves attention and loves to snuggle with you, he likes to look out the window and watch birds. He is about 2 1/2 years old he is a little shy at first but he warms up to you really quick, he loves to play with toys really likes ones with catnip, we are looking to rehome him because he isn’t getting along with our other cats and I feel he would like to be an only cat! we have tried everything and it just is not working we got him when he was a kitten and recently just started not liking eachother

Story
There is a gypsy proverb that goes like this: After bad luck comes good fortune. I’m just over 3½ years old, and I’ve already had a good deal of both good fortune and bad luck. I was first adopted from Paws and Claws in October 2022, then returned in September 2023 because I did not do well with the children in that home. Then I was adopted again the following spring, and my person thought she would love me forever. Now her mother brought me back because her daughter left me with her mom and said she no longer wants to take care of me. Her mother brought me back to the shelter. So, here I am again. I’m hoping that the third time will really, really be my lucky charm. My “grandma” – my former adopter’s mom – said that I am kind, affectionate, and playful. I like toys, and I do like children. She said you should be aware that I might nip when I don’t want to be petted, so I may do best in a home with older children. I did okay with other cats and dogs, but I would prefer to be “an only child” in the home. I love sunbathing and birdwatching. You may notice that I am no longer a petite boy, so I could benefit from more exercise in the form of play and dietary monitoring under veterinary supervision. I truly am a lovable guy, and I am hoping for a forever home as someone’s terrific, true-blue friend, Thomas.Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
“If you are very strong, you must also be very kind.” – Pippi Longstocking. I would love to go home with someone who is very kind. People here are very caring. I’m Pippi and I am estimated to be around 1 1/2 years old. I came to Paws and Claws from another rescue with two other kittens, Monkey and Jesse, who have already been adopted. I tend to be a little bashful, but I`ll be thrilled if you pet me. I like to talk, and I like to play too. I get along well with other cats, especially my friend Attica, so I might like having kitty companions in my new home. I’ll be meowing, “Yippy skippy!” when you adopt me to be your darling Pippi! Story
Bette Midler sang it: “But ya gotta have friends…” I’m Shirl, a young mother cat who was found in NW Rochester with my four kittens. My babies were very small and were dependent on me, so we all went to a foster home. Our foster mom named us for her best friends from childhood, including, Bernie, Pat, Bev, and Maggie. I was very protective of my little ones, and it took a long time for them to trust anyone but me, so, after they were weaned, I went to the shelter in hopes that they could become more independent. They eventually came to the shelter too, and they have been adopted. Since coming to the shelter, I have become braver about being around people, and I will walk around my colony room and look out the door now when people are around. However, I still I feel safest when perched on a high shelf. I am not comfortable being touched or handled yet. Being here can be overwhelming, and I’d like a friend or two to help me feel safe. If you’re a cat whisperer, I hope you’ll give it a whirl – approach slowly, sit with me, reach out gently, and quietly say my name, “Shirl, ya gotta have friends. Be my girl.”Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax
