Tammany is litter-box trained and is now looking for a new home because his lifelong owner passed away, leaving him without the person and the dog he lived with for many years. This is Sgt. Tibbs- he is the sweetest male cat and we love him dearly. He is a very chill dude and he loves to snuggle and be around people. He is 6 years old and litter box trained. He is an indoor only kitty. The only reason we are looking to re-home him is because he does not like to be around other animal. We got another cat a couple years ago and after that he started marking in the house. We need a loving home with no other pets present. Our kids are devastated that we have to do this- they love him so much. So we are looking for someone or a family that will give him lots of love and affection, and that has no other animals in the house.

He gets along well with other dogs and cats, and he’s known for his constant purring, love of snuggling, and enthusiasm for being part of whatever you’re doing. He’ll gladly curl up with you at night, too. Ben has gone through significant loss—his owner recently passed away, as did the dog he lived with for many years—so he will need a patient home that can give him time to adjust. His experience with children is unknown, as his former owner was a retiree without young family members. Ben would do best in a home where he can safely explore outside from time to time and where neighbors won’t mind seeing him perched on a shed or car. He is litter-box trained, neutered, and current on vaccines, including a one-year rabies shot he received in August.
