Story
This sweet lady came back to us after her owners were unable to keep her. She is a very lovely kitty who enjoys being pet, will rub up against you and sit near you, but not on your lap, once she is comfortable with you. She tolerates being picked up and carried, but doesn't enjoy snuggles. She travels very well in the car and has made several road trips across Ontario. She likes catnip toys, but isn't a big fan of chasing a ball. She likes to watch visitors to her home from afar and isn't likely to visit for more than a passing head scratch. She is tolerant of children and other cats, but not dogs. She has been spayed, is up to date with her vaccines, is FIV/FelV negative and has had her flea treatment. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet. Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward. You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200. It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations. Please help us get the kitties to their forever homes faster by respecting these guidelines!

Story
This young gal came into our care pregnant, has had her time to be a momma and is now ready for her furever home. She can be very affectionate, and also very not affectionate! She took a long time to trust her foster momma, but is still wary of being picked up. She does enjoy a good petting and chin scratches and will sit nearby, but not snuggle. She is not a fan of dogs and children should be 10 or older so not to overwhelm her. A quiet indoor home with another quiet kitty would be ideal for her. She has been flea treated and dewormed, is FIV/FelV negative, up to date on her vaccines and has been spayed. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! Story
Meet Ash, a sweet and lovable cat with a heart as big as his adorable, chunky belly! While he may be working on his weight loss journey, his loving personality is already in great shape. Ash enjoys snuggles, purring contentedly as he curls up next to you, and he’s always ready for some playtime with his foster family`s dog. He’s looking for a patient and caring family to help him reach his goals while showering him with love and affection. Ash is sure to bring endless joy and warmth into any home! Will you be the one to help him thrive?*Ash is currently on a special diet: Urinary S/O/Satiety. This is a medicated diet that is prescribed by a veterinarian. Ash has been diagnosed with FLUTD, we highly recommend researching the condition prior. We`re happy to send information sheets to you and your vet prior to adoption.***Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.If you are viewing this animal through 24Petconnect by PetPlace or Adopt-a-pet, please visit our website https://kwsphumane.ca/adopt/process to submit an application. Any applications submitted outside of www.kwsphumane.ca may not be received.

Story
CJ was first spotted by a concerned animal lover in the parking lot at CrabbyJoes, Stratford, ON in the dead of winter....... hence the name CJ ! What we didn't know was that helping him wasn't going to be easy .. he was a street smart boy that didn't fall for the standard trap! With the determination of our volunteers, a drop trap and a trail of treats .. we finally got him !! CJ needed some TCL work and time to adjust to being indoors but has turned into such a sweet boy. He now loves to play with interactive toys.(with you on the other end) or will play with ball toys on his own. He looks forward to belly rubs as he cuddles beside you on the couch .. CJ gets along with the foster cats he lives with .. but would do amazing on his own soaking up all the attention from you ...We don't think CJ would be very accepting of dogs due to his time spent outdoors. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has had parasite control. His age is estimated to be between 4-5 years old ... If interested in hearing more about CJ please fill out the short inquiry form and a volunteer will be in touch. https://www.felinefriends.ca/foster-and-adoption
