If you interrupt Cubby Time during daylight, she might even tell you to get lost. But once the doors close and the shelter grows quiet, Metro transforms. Out comes a sweet, affectionate girl who enjoys attention, seeks out companionship, and shows her true personality. "Cats are angels with paws." This makes us think of our precious Dink. Dink is a 5-year-old brown and white short haired tabby with the sweetest little face and an even sweeter personality. She’s already settled into foster care like a pro, and her foster mom absolutely adores her. Her official hobbies include supervising the house, hanging out nearby, and turning herself into a lap accessory whenever possible. Dink does have hyperthyroidism, which means she needs medication twice a day, but don’t let that scare you off. Her meds can be given as an oral liquid OR as a cream applied to her ear. Easy peasy. With treatment, cats with hyperthyroidism can live long, happy, comfortable lives, and Dink is ready to do exactly that with someone who loves her. She comes with a generous supply of her meds already on board. She’s already spayed and ready to head home. All she’s missing is the actual home part. We know special medical needs can make cats get overlooked, but Dink is the kind of cat who makes the extra step feel very small. A really cool cat alert! Meet Potato Chicken! When Potato Chicken was found as a stray, his finder took one look at his impressive belly and assumed he was a pregnant female. Nope. Turns out hes a neutered male who has simply dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the pursuit of snacks. Potato Chicken is built like a baked potato and has the personality of a guy who has completely transcended stress. He spends his days lounging in bed while chaos unfolds around him. Cats leap over his head. People come and go. Life continues at full speed. Potato Chicken remains unbothered. Tell him your problems. He'll listen. Tell him your secrets. They're safe with him. This handsome boy is as sweet as they come! He loves being carried around, will happily chat with you throughout the day, and wants to be involved in whatever you’re doing. Whether he’s following you from room to room or telling you all about his day, you’ll never feel alone with him around. He’s playful, affectionate, and has never met a meal he didn’t enjoy—his sturdy physique is proof that he’s a true food enthusiast! He gets along well with most other animals and does great with kids. He would likely do best with active companions who can keep up with his social and playful nature. Would prefer a home were he can go outside in limited form. Also loves to play and would do best with another playmate to help with his active lifestyle.
