Story
We got Gracie from a shelter 10 years ago and at that time they thought she was 8. I do not think she was 8 because today she does not act like an OLD cat. She talks and is friendly. We had a dog (30 pound Shitzapoo named Jack) and the two of them were best friends. Jack and Gracie would lick and groom each other. Jack died last year at 17. We love Gracie but our daughter is in need of a home and needs to move in. She is violently allergic to cats and dogs. So we need a place for Gracie for her final few years. She is a great cat. Her only challenge is her eyesight is not fantastic but she navigates our home just fine. Please help. Our daughter needs to move in in a couple weeks. Thanks much!

Story
I found this little girl on a run and she was severely malnourished. When I took her into the vet all the labs came back completely normal the plan was to find her a good home as I had another cat already but we didn’t know anyone interested so she turned into our second cat. Unfortunately her and my other cat do not get along he’s a male and very territorial. It’s become too much to handle as I am now pregnant and they fight constantly. She’s a very loving cat but she can be skittish at times and needs to be in a home without other pets or kids. I’m not quite sure her age just because I found her but the vet estimated her to be no older than 4. She will go nuts for food and can become vocal around her normal meal times but I found her staving. She loves to cuddle and loves being under covers. She needs someone who is patient gentle and caring.

Story
Rufus D Katz was born feral about 13 April 2025 along with brother Sweet Boy. Began feeding them mid-August and they moved into the house about 21October. Their father Dada D Katz wanders inside for breakfast, supper and kat nip snacks. Rufus seems happy—purrs a lot, rolls on the floor, walks around with tail at full mast. He’s extremely shy and reclusive but gets along great with Sweet Boy, two other rescue kittens and their mother. Rufus though is a victim of six too many katz where the landlord really doesn’t want any so I have to give away he and the two kittens. Story
Name: Lane Breed: Domestic Shorthair Gender: Female Estimated DOB: 11/1/2024 Lane is a sweet and gentle girl with a friendly personality and a calm, thoughtful presence. She may be a little reserved at first in a new environment, but with patience and reassurance, she becomes affectionate and enjoys being close to her people. Lane would do best in a home that understands the importance of giving her time to adjust and settle in at her own pace. She thrives in a peaceful, supportive environment and appreciates consistent routines and gentle attention. Because Lane has not been around young children, we recommend a home with children age 10 and older. If there are dogs in the home, introductions would need to be slow and intentional to help Lane feel safe and comfortable. Lane is part of a group of five cats rescued together, all named after Gilmore Girls characters. Much like her namesake, Lane has a loyal heart and a quietly creative spirit—she’s the kind of companion who feels like a constant presence in your life, always nearby, always steady. She would thrive in a home where cozy routines, shared space, and gentle companionship are truly appreciated. If you’re interested in Lane, fill out an application on our website https://www.tailsoftheforgottenpaws.org/ or find us on FB/IG and reach out with questions!

Story
Meet Caterina If you’ve been dreaming of a cat who loves love — the kind who follows you from room to room, curls up beside you the moment you sit down, and gazes at you like you’re her whole world — Caterina is your girl. This 1‑year‑old sweetheart is pure affection wrapped in soft fur. She’s a true velcro cat, happiest when she’s close to her person. Whether you’re working, relaxing, or just moving around the house, she wants to be right there with you, offering companionship that feels steady, warm, and deeply comforting. Caterina has that rare, dog‑like loyalty you don’t always find in cats. She bonds hard, loves deeply, and gives her heart without hesitation. Her gentle nature and constant desire to be near her human make her an incredible candidate for someone seeking emotional support, comfort, or a soothing presence in their daily life. She’s the kind of cat who will nuzzle your hand when you’re stressed, curl into your lap when you’re tired, and remind you — in her quiet, loving way — that you’re never alone. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who brings emotional warmth, steady affection, and a whole lot of heart, Caterina is ready to be your little shadow and your soft place to land.
