They also can hear the crack of a wet food can from the other side of the house and will run and climb your leg to be first in line for the food. They crave the attention from humans as well as our resident cats. They would do great in a home with or without cats. Meet Etsy Note from Esty's foster mom: Who wants to give a really lovely cat a chance? I've had Etsy here as a foster since March. At the time she had newborn kittens. She was an excellent mother and without hesitation, she took in 3 orphans in addition to her 4! Her kittens are all adopted now and she deserves a good home too. Etsy is 3yrs young and in the picture she is melting into my hand in bliss. See how her paw is blurred? That's because she was making biscuits with it while purring. Here's the thing though. It's taken her awhile to get to this point with me, but wow has this girl blossomed! She now knows love and shows how much she loves it! Honestly, I see her becoming happier and more comfortable every day. She needs a quiet, calm home with no young kids. She could certainly learn to tolerate another cat or a dog if they had the right chill temperament. HELP I am still here, I have come so close to a couple of adoptions but then when the humans get here they pick a kitten.  Hi my name is Kate. My life started at the shelter and then I was adopted and was in a home for 2 years with a single woman. My mom has since had a change in work and has to travel and no longer can provide the time and attention she would like to give me. So, I am back at the shelter looking for my FOREVER forsure home. I will tell you all about how I like to be out and about at the shelter.  I am a little shy at first so I have to get to know you unless you have the treat container or my fancy feast, then I go crazy.  I love my laser light and to chase it around. I would do best in a home that is quiet with not a lot of activity. I have been to the vet and have all my shots, tested and microchipped. I am a petite little girl and very sweet. I'm still here waiting for my home I am a good girl. I am a bit shy but like to be pet. I have a silly way about me where I have a raspy meow that sounds like a growl.  I am not mean though and I am really pretty and a little shy. My hooman had a house fire and moved to a place where I was not able to go.  I have been vetted and had a dental and I am all ready to go to my forever home. I would not be a good cat for young children or other cats. I need a place where I can just hang out in the sun and come around you when I want to. Hello, My name is Cosmos. I came in with my siblings Mercury and Venus. I am the shiest of the 3 of us and I have the shortest hair and no fluffy tail.
