Story
OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Roscoe is a bit of a shy dog that will appreciate meeting new people on his own terms. Once he is used to you, he will stick by your side and even sit in your lap. Roscoe previously lived with another dog and could most likely do so again. Since Roscoe is a working type dog breed, he would be most successful in a home that can mentally stimulate him and give him lots of walks. He may do well in a home with older, dog-savvy children.Weighs 32 pounds, $25 to adopt

CURRENTLY IN TEMPORARY FOSTER CARE! PLEASE ALL 801-675-8590 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING ZIRA!REPORTED BY FOSTER:Zira is an amazing dog. She doesn`t bark outside, takes treats from hands very gently, fast learner, great with other dogs, crate trained and very loving. She has learned how to use a dog door in just a few days. She would do best with older, dog-savvy children. She goes for hands when she`s excited or sometimes lonely. I believe it`s puppy behavior because it`s not aggressive. When I say leave it-she removes her teeth from my hands. It doesn`t hurt but she backs down with the correction. She loves belly rubs. She follows me everywhere. She is not housetrained. She goes through the dog doors but if I`m not there she won`t continue to go outside. I have to go outside with her and she has to see me there to feel confident to go outside. Would do best with someone that stays at home most of the time. With the right home and training she would be amazing!OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Zira is shy around people she doesn’t know, but is getting used to the big world! She does best with someone that has a slow, gentle approach and lets her get used to them. She jumps and air comps when she’s excited, walks well on the leash and knows the sit command. Zira has a minor bite history; a release of liability form will need to be signed upon adoption. Zira’s a very sweet dog that will form a bond with you when you give her time. She’s treat-motivated and is gentle when taking them from your hand. She would most likely chase a cat unless trained not to. She previously lived with other dogs and can be a little bossy toward the dogs here in our playgroups, but overall is a good girl. Weighs 48 pounds; $25 to adopt

PLEASE ALL 801-675-8590 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING GASTON!GASTON NEEDS A HOME ASAP!Shelter life is hard for Gaston and the sooner he can find a home, the better. He`s very stressed here and is bouncing off the walls of his kennel. OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Gaston is a bit shy at first, but doesn’t take long to warm up with a gentle approach. He can be nervous in new situations and would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children. Gaston has lots of energy and can jump high. He’s treat motivated and is a little grabby when taking from your hand at times. Gaston walks well on the leash and appears house trained. He may chase a cat unless trained not to. He previously lived with other dogs and could do so again. Weighs 47 pounds
