He`s very stressed here and is bouncing off the walls of his kennel. OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Gaston is a bit shy at first, but doesn’t take long to warm up with a gentle approach. He can be nervous in new situations and would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children. Gaston has lots of energy and can jump high. He’s treat motivated and is a little grabby when taking from your hand at times. Gaston walks well on the leash and appears house trained. He may chase a cat unless trained not to. He previously lived with other dogs and could do so again. Weighs 47 pounds

She doesn`t bark outside, takes treats from hands very gently, fast learner, great with other dogs, crate trained and very loving. She has learned how to use a dog door in just a few days. She would do best with older, dog-savvy children. She goes for hands when she`s excited or sometimes lonely. I believe it`s puppy behavior because it`s not aggressive. When I say leave it-she removes her teeth from my hands. It doesn`t hurt but she backs down with the correction. She loves belly rubs. She follows me everywhere. She is not housetrained. She goes through the dog doors but if I`m not there she won`t continue to go outside. I have to go outside with her and she has to see me there to feel confident to go outside. Would do best with someone that stays at home most of the time. With the right home and training she would be amazing!OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Zira is shy around people she doesn’t know, but is getting used to the big world! She does best with someone that has a slow, gentle approach and lets her get used to them. She jumps and air comps when she’s excited, walks well on the leash and knows the sit command. Zira has a minor bite history; a release of liability form will need to be signed upon adoption. Zira’s a very sweet dog that will form a bond with you when you give her time. She’s treat-motivated and is gentle when taking them from your hand. She would most likely chase a cat unless trained not to. She previously lived with other dogs and can be a little bossy toward the dogs here in our playgroups, but overall is a good girl. Weighs 48 pounds; $25 to adopt

This stunning guy is Misio, pronounced 'Misho' which is Polish for Teddy Bear. Misio is a 7.5 year old Australian Shepherd who is currently on a diet to get to his ideal weight of about 37 pounds. Misio is looking for a patient and mature household to live the rest of his years. He is working through some trust issues and is learning to let his guard down. But once he knows you are safe, he will be yours forever. Misio likes to be near people but isnt overly cuddly, he is content to be in his own space near you. He'd do best in a home with adults only and no other animals. Misio is still very active and he would love to be your hiking, camping, or running companion! He is very outgoing and loves to chase a ball around the yard. He is also very smart and picks up on training quickly. Misio needs a forever home that can provide him with mental stimulation and a physical outlet. He can be chill in the house, but is also not a couch potato. He is house trained and crate trained and walks well on leash. With a little bit of training, a dash of patience, and a person who will be active with him, Misio will be an amazing companion for years to come! Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. Hi! My name is Cisco (short for Francisco) and I am a Aussie x red heeler mix pup. As far as herding puppies go, I'm pretty laid back. But, I'm definitely no couch potato! I love to play and wrestle with my foster brothers. And, I am really good at taking cues from them, when my puppy antics have become a little too much. My foster mom describes me as smart, athletic, fun and supper cuddly. I'm a social butterfly. I love to meet and play with the neighborhood kids that come to visit me and my brother. I would do well in a home with other dogs and older, dog-savvy kids. I have never met cats; but, because of my herding dog heritage, I would probably want to chase them. My ideal home would be one with a fenced yard to keep me safe while I play and an active family who will take me on long walks and hikes or other outdoor adventures on the weekends. My previous owners just couldn't commit to me and have truly failed me. I am a little shy when I first meet you, but I warm up quickly and then am the typical Aussie velcro dog. Where you go, I will follow! I am very sweet and have a moderate energy level-- a daily walk and lots of snuggles on the couch is all I need to live my best life! Children make me very nervous, so a home without kids s a must for me. I can be a little selective when it comes to my doggy friends. I don't like dogs that come on too strong or get in my face. Older, more mellow dogs are OK. I am not a fan of cats, so a furever home that is feline free is a must. I am house-broken, crate-trained, spayed and up-to-date on my vaccinations.
