Meet Binnie🤍 💙 Binnie’s Update Account: @imbo_family_ 1.) Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped, and fully recovered from heartworm. 2.) Rescue Story * Binnie had been at the Gimje City Shelter for a long time without being rescued due to limited space at the Adogs center. One day, his weight suddenly dropped, raising health concerns. Adogs stepped in just in time to rescue him. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Is shy a bit with new people. As a result of consistent training, he has become much less wary, even taking treats and sniffing people he has never seen before. Acts cute and shows a lot of energy around familiar people. * With Dogs: Coexists peacefully with other dogs and doesn’t show much interest first. Doesn’t approach them first to greet but is polite enough to respond to greetings of other dogs on walks. Showed some defensive nipping to sudden approaches in the past but has improved a lot after meeting more dogs. * With Cats: Waits gently when seeing cats. * Separation Anxiety: Does very well when left alone at home and rests! When left alone with strangers, he either approaches them and barks at or sniffs them. When with his foster parent’s mother and another stranger, he growls and is wary of the stranger if they approach the mother. Gets trained and corrected when his foster parent is with him. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty but uses pee pads indoors without any issue. * Hygiene: Handles bathing, brushing, drying, and tooth brushing like a pro. * Walks: Loves walks and matches his pace to yours! Doesn’t get surprised by motorcycles or the sounds of cars. Looks around and is relaxed on walks. * Car Sickness: Rests well in a car without motion sickness. * Barks and may show defensive biting when strangers who visit the home or strangers on walks suddenly reach out their hands to him. Doesn’t like his territory being intruded upon and sometimes nips in such situations. Is getting constant training to fix it. * If a person runs in Binnie’s direction from afar, he sometimes barks defensively. * Likes walking, playing with a squeaky ball and doing nosework with treats. Wiggles happily when his butt is petted. * Is sensitive around his belly, so it is recommended to pet the area softly. Is scared of staircases in buildings and is currently being trained slowly with treats. For now, he is still being carried when he has to climb the steps. * Has mastered several commands like 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'paw,' 'another paw,' 'nose,' 'high-five,' 'kiss,' and 'house.'

Story
Name: JerryAge: Approximately 7 years old (per Ventura shelter records, though he may be a bit older)Gender: MaleBreed: Chihuahua mix Rescue Story Jerry was rescued from a high-kill shelter in California that houses nearly 200 dogs. He’s now safe and getting the second chance he deserves. Health Jerry has a grade 2–3 heart murmur, which is currently mild and expected to be easily managed with medication as needed. To ensure he continues to receive the care he needs, the rescue will reimburse the cost of his heart medication for life. He also has mild to moderate dental disease, which is common for small breed dogs his age. Both conditions are manageable, and he continues to feel good, enjoy walks, and live life comfortably. Personality Jerry is a mellow, easygoing little guy with a happy, wiggly greeting when you approach him. He absolutely loves neck scratches and belly rubs and is very treat motivated. He enjoys car rides, relaxes while listening to music, and is perfectly content snoozing the day away—either in his cozy, fleece-covered crate (door open) or on a big, comfy dog bed in his room. He’s calm and quiet—no barking, even when other dogs are making noise. When he works on his kibble in a puzzle bowl, he shows his excitement with the sweetest little happy squeaks. Social Skills Dogs: Jerry does very well on group walks and coexists nicely outdoors. Inside the home, he’s still building confidence when in close quarters with the foster’s resident dogs. Cats: Not yet introduced. Kids: Not yet introduced. Training & Home Life Leash skills: Excellent on leash and even more comfortable wearing a harness. Potty trained: Yes! Jerry gives a soft whimper when he needs to go out and quickly takes care of business after a short walk. Crate trained: He sleeps in his open crate at night but has not been crated with the door closed. Home alone: Stays in his own room with a large dog bed and crate. He has not damaged anything—even with items within reach. Sleeping habits: Nights in his covered crate; daytime naps on his big comfy bed. Ideal Home Jerry would likely thrive as the only dog in a calm home where he can freely roam and soak up affection from his humans. He doesn’t require much playtime or constant activity—just regular potty breaks, a cozy place to rest, and someone to share a peaceful, laid-back life with. Strengths Calm, happy demeanor Quiet (rarely barks) Excellent potty habits Sleeps through the night Loves car rides and walks Affectionate and treat motivated Still Working On Feeling fully comfortable indoors around other dogs Building confidence with being picked up suddenly Fun Facts Celebrity Twin: Peter Pan — forever young, happy, and a little magical. Dating Profile Bio: “Calm, friendly gentleman seeking a cozy home and a human to relax with forever.” Toy Preference: Not big on toys yet, but crunchy treats are his love language. Favorite Treats: Milk Bones are his absolute favorite, with salmon jerky coming in a close second. Jerry’s Wish:“A peaceful home, someone to love (and love me back), a few leisurely walks, and the coziest bed for my daily naps.” Adoption fee $200 www.northwestwagrescue.org ##2648521##

Meet Chanel Name: ChanelAge: 1 year, 3 monthsGender: FemaleWeight: 13 kg / 28 lbsBreed: Mixed Wire HairColor: Black Health Spayed Vaccinated Heartworm Negative   Personality & Behavior Good with dogs? Yes Good with kids? Yes Good with cats? No – she has a strong small-prey drive Resource guarding? No Vocal? Alert barker Shedding? Low to moderate – regular brushing recommended Energy Level? Medium–High (she’s still young!) Chanel’s scruffy wire coat and bright personality make her especially charming for wire-haired dog lovers. She may be a little shy at first when meeting new people, but give her just a few minutes and her confident, outgoing spirit shines through. She is vibrant, intelligent, naturally alert, and eager to learn. From her pack, Chanel has always been the most independent and secure, confidently engaging with other dogs and enjoying playtime. She forms strong bonds with her people and will be a devoted companion. She’s attentive to her surroundings and will let you know with a bark if something catches her attention.   Training & Adaptability ‍ Leash-trained? Yes Good in the car? Yes Potty-trained? She will adjust well to a new home with consistent routines and follow-up habits. Crate-trained? Yes (primarily for travel) When alone: Chanel has always lived with siblings or other dogs, either in foster care or boarding. She has not regularly been left completely alone but will separate herself when she wants quiet time. If she transitions into a home as an only dog, it’s recommended she not be left alone for extended periods initially. A 4–6 hour window is ideal while she adjusts and builds confidence in a new environment. Sleeping arrangements: She currently sleeps in a kennel area alongside her two siblings.   Activity & Lifestyle Chanel is agile, athletic, and has excellent stamina. She would thrive in a home that enjoys outdoor activities such as walks, hikes, and interactive play. Because she is clever and energetic, she will need a secure yard and consistent mental stimulation to prevent boredom. She loves staying engaged and learning new things — an active household will suit her perfectly.   Ideal Home Chanel will flourish in a home that offers: • Daily companionship and interaction• An active lifestyle• Mental stimulation and playtime• A secure environment• Possibly another playful dog companion She would also do well as a second dog, as she enjoys canine companionship. However, she can bond deeply with her humans and thrive as a solo dog with proper structure and activity. Chanel is loyal, social, and loving — ready to build a lifelong bond with her family.   Rescue Story Chanel’s story is one of patience, kindness, and perfect timing. At just two months old, Chanel and her two siblings were abandoned in a crate inside a residential complex in Guadalajara, Mexico in early 2025. Confused and vulnerable, the tiny puppies huddled together for comfort. A security guard noticed them and alerted a neighbor known for her love of dogs. Without hesitation, she stepped in and became their guardian angel, bringing them to safety and committing to their care. Rather than rushing them into adoption simply because they were cute puppies, they were given time to grow, heal, and properly develop. This thoughtful approach ensured they would find lasting homes — not impulse adoptions. Today, Chanel is ready for her forever chapter — a home where her journey of resilience, love, and hope continues.   Location: Mexico (waiting for a committed trial home) Adoption Fee: $600 Apply at: www.northwestwagrescue.org Chanel is ready to meet her forever family. ##2661926##

Story
Name: Dale PonchoAge: Approximately 2 years oldGender: MaleBreed: Chihuahua Good with dogs? No – Dale prefers to be the only dog.Good with cats? YesGood with kids? Unknown Rescue Story Dale was found abandoned in a small crate in a parking lot alongside a German Shepherd puppy. They had been left there for at least two days without food or water. Since the day he was rescued, he has been safe and loved — and now he’s ready for a forever home that will never let him down again. Personality Dale is calm and content with his person — almost cat-like in his independence. He’s been lovingly compared to a “pet rock that talks.” He can grumble a little when picked up (he has opinions!), but he is incredibly sweet and happiest curled up in your lap, preferably under the covers. He is the ultimate co-pilot: give him a blanket and a destination and he’s ready for the ride. Training & Daily Life Leash trained: Yes! He walks great and is working on ignoring other people and dogs. Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes When home alone: Comfortable in his crate. Once settled, he’ll happily cuddle up on the couch or bed waiting for you. Where he sleeps: In bed — by your feet or curled up against you. Ideal Home Dale would thrive as the only dog in the home. He needs someone who understands (and appreciates!) classic Chihuahua traits — confidence, loyalty, and a little sass. Bonus points if you’ll knit him sweaters… even if he pretends to hate wearing them. Strengths World-class cuddler Loyal shadow Built-in security system Smart and observant Devoted confidant What He’s Working On Dale is still polishing up basic obedience skills. He strongly believes he should be the only dog in any given space — park, sidewalk, or house — and can become reactive around other dogs. Removing him from the situation helps him reset. He’s confident and likes to be in control. If Dale Were a Celebrity… He’d be Jeremy Piven — confident, commanding, a little dramatic, but exactly who you need him to be when it matters. If Dale Had a Dating Profile… “I’m Dale Poncho, a 2-year-old Chihuahua with main-character energy. I walk into every room like I pay the rent. I cuddle like it’s my career, snack like I’m training for competition, and take lap availability very seriously. I’m loyal, affectionate, and packed with personality. Seeking someone who appreciates a confident short king with elite snuggle skills and a strong passion for snacks.” Favorite Toys All of the above! He loves plush squeaky toys and tennis balls. Favorite Treat Pup cups — or honestly, anything you’re having. Microchipped, neutered and up to date on vaccines Adoption fee $500 www.northwestwagrescue.org ##2670725##
