Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Holly is 2yo old, weighs 7.5lbs, is up to date on her vaccines, is spayed, and is microchipped.  Holly's guardian adds:  "Holly is a very sweet and playful dog.  She's a gentle soul and takes her time in trusting people.  She is a big cuddle bug. She enjoys playing with other small dogs and would be a wonderful 2nd dog for a family.  Holly's guardian explains why she has made the decision to rehome her:  Her guardian has developed medical issues and can no longer care for her.  Holly's guardian offers a brief medical history:  "Nothing chronic to report.  Recent medical exam was in May 2025 and she was healthy."   Holly's guardian states the following regarding children:   Holly hasn't lived with children, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with children, stating "Holly dislikes toddlers and children and is fearful of them." Holly's guardian states the following regarding dogs:   Holly lives with dogs, so her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating:    "She will do great in a home with other small dogs.  She is very social.  She is working on her confidence in meeting (large) dogs outdoors." Holly's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Holly hasn't lived with cats, so her guardian is unsure how she would react to cats in a household, stating "She's been indifferent to outside stray cats.  She hasn't been formally introduced to a cat but I don't have any reason to say that she won't do okay". Holly's guardian describes her as: Playful Shy Small dog friendly Affectionate Fearful of toddlers, children, and big dogs Independent Crate-Trained Holly's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "Holly needs experienced owners that are sensitive to her needs and will be patient and understanding with her.  She will be great in a house with a small dog so she can borrow from their confidence.  A couple or family who would adore her." Story
I'm Abbie, and I'm the SWEETEST lap dog you will find! I'm a senior, easy going and quiet gal, which means I can live in an apartment, condo or townhome! Not only am I a chill gal, but I get along great with dogs of all sizes, people and likely cats. I'm just not bothered, in fact, I am a confident lady (not shy or timid). I do have one request though. I must be able to sleep in the big bed with my humans, sorry, non-negotiable!!! The weather is getting chilly, and I'm looking for that warm lap-human to keep me cozy. Please apply today if you are the one for me. Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee covers; please consider making a tax-deductible donation by visiting us at https://www.hattonanimalrescue.org/sponsor. Donations help us offset vetting, boarding costs, and additional medical treatments for dogs who need it. For more information on Hatton Animal Rescue, visit our website at: hattonanimalrescue.org.

PLEASE HELP ME TO NOT HAVE TO SURRENDER BAXTER. He is not a puppy and will be hard to adopt out from a shelter. Baxter is good boy, he needs a lot of attention, proper grooming and vaccinations. He is a great protector of children and will guard them with his life. He may seem aggressive at first but as soon as he is introduced ( especially with treats ) he is the sweetest most cuddly affectionate dog you'll ever meet. He is also less prone to acting out around strangers when he has had plenty of exercise and attention. I should have surrendered him a long time ago as he deserves so.muvh more than my family can give at this time. My son is extremely attached to him so if we could still get updates on him that would mean so much to my little boy. Please consider adding Baxter to your family. To add, he has made friends with other dogs and is capable of doing so. He doesn't do well with unfamiliar dogs but he learns fast and can be trained.

Story
Freddy Toy Poodle Mix Male White 11 months old 9 lbs Meet little Freddy, a young pup with a sparkly personality that is poised to be your next totable adventure buddy! Freddy is a young pup with a big personality who’s ready to join you on life’s adventures! This little fluffball may have started life with some challenges, but thanks to his loving foster family, he’s blossomed into a happy and playful companion. At just under a year old, Freddy is slowly catching up on how to be a well-behaved pet! He loves other dogs (big or small), enjoys his walks, and has endless enthusiasm for toys and playtime. He’s crate-trained, does well being left alone, is learning outdoor potty habits, and faces bath time like a champ. Freddy's time as a stray and at a shelter has left him with some trust, confidence, and guarding issues, but like many young pups, he’s still learning about sharing and respecting boundaries. In the short time he's spent with his foster family, he has responded positively to his foster family's training to overcome his challenges. He’ll thrive with a patient, dog-savvy adopter who understands what it takes to build trust and is willing to continue guiding him as he grows into the best version of himself. A quieter home without young children would be ideal, as he can get overwhelmed with too much noise or chaos. If you’re looking for a loving little sidekick, Freddy is ready to steal your heart! Please Note: **No children under 10!** If you are interested in adopting FREDDY, please go to our website www.somersetcottagepoodlerescue.org to see our adoption process and download the adoption application FREDDY's adoption donation is $895

Story
Luna is almost 7. We adopted her ~3 years ago. She jumped right into our laps. Since then, we've enjoyed countless hours of love and cuddles with her. The hard part: Luna has *severe* separation anxiety (barking). Over the past 3 years, we've tried behavioral intervention programs & medications. She's always had a village around to care for her. We love this little dog with all our hearts but we've run out of options for constant pet care, strategies for addressing her anxieties, and financial flexibility. Luna needs people with some or all of the following: 24/7 access to dogsitters and/or WFH, family/community that can pitch in, and a deep well of patience. Something that's vital is that she does not do well in a city environment - too much stimulus. She requires a rural or quiet suburban home to have peace of mind. Although she has no shortage of anxieties, Luna is overflowing with love and affection for people. We hope you'll consider being her new family.

Story
We added Snickers to our family when he was 3 months old in 2010. He has lived with a cat for 13 years with no issues. He has lived with men and women of all ages including infants and children. As he gets older (he is now 15 years old) he requires a little more attention than we are able to provide lately. He has slight vision impairment and hearing loss. He is still able to climb up and down steps and eats all of his dry food with no problem! He does not like being picked up due to an injury sustained when he was a puppy. He loves running around and exploring a fenced in space and also lounging around and napping during the day.
