You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Heidi (heidi@eskierescuers.org) for more information about this pet.Our handsome and sweet Buckley is living the life at the R'Eskie Ranch. Buckley came from a local shelter where he was dropped off because his family was moving and could not take him. Buckley is super friendly, fun, smart, housetrained and just an all around good boy! He loves car rides and going for long hikes in the park, snuggling, and playing in the yard. Buckley turned 3 years old in October and weighs 26 pounds. He has been neutered, microchipped, is up to date in vaccines, and had a dental cleaning in September. Buckley is wonderful with all the other eskies at the ranch and with visiting dogs (see videos). Buckley is a a gem. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Story
Meet Ollie, a Samoyed born 5/24/25. We brought him home at 8 weeks and have invested heavily in his care, including socialization, puppy and obedience classes, crate training, enforced naps, and a raw diet (no food aggression or resource guarding). Ollie is extremely intelligent, affectionate, and high energy, but struggles with over-excitement, mouthiness, and leash reactivity, especially around people and dogs. Traditional obedience classes proved overwhelming, so under trainer guidance we introduced a prong collar, which led to significant improvement and safer, more manageable walks. Now almost 8 months old and ~60 lbs, Ollie is a beautiful, people-loving dog who needs more space, stimulation, and social interaction than we can provide. We are seeking a committed, experienced home where Ollie can thrive and live a fuller life. 1000 characters is not enough space to explain Ollie's personality, and we are happy to meet with any interested parties virtually or in-person.

She’s a sweet old lady, very cuddly. Unfortunately not able to take care of her due to my needs, not necessarily hers. She still has a lot of kick, I wouldn’t say she acts like a senior except for the naps. Ha ha

Story
Hi my names ny! Over a year ago i took in a medium sized dog named Dakota for a family friend. What supposed to be short term ended up being long term lol. Dakota is a medium sized yorkie / pom who’s primarily black ( with a white and gray beard and belly.) Hes great with kids and other animals, and very territorial if he creates a bond with you. he is very loving , playful and enjoys walks. However he can be a bit of a handful due to slight behavioral problems. He has an attachment issue, he freaks out if he isleft unattended and if left in a cage he will ABSOLUTELY attempt to find a way to escape. It is unclear if his previous owners properly house trained him, so I was having issues with him randomly using the bathroom in house. With school and work there is just not enough time in my day to fully give him the attention he needs , which is why i want him to go to a good home.
