Story
Quick Facts Name: Snow  Age: 9 years old (born January 2016)  Gender: Male  Spayed: Yes Breed: Poodle  Color: White  Weight: 5.4kg    All About Me Hi, I’m Snow! I’m a lively and affectionate eight-year-old Poodle with a fluffy white coat and a heart full of energy. Weighing 5.4kg (11.9lb), I may be a senior, but you wouldn’t know it from my playful and active nature. My past wasn’t the easiest—I likely spent my early years in a breeding facility before ending up in a city shelter. Despite everything, I still have so much love to give and am searching for a home where I can be cherished for the rest of my life.   My Personality I absolutely adore people and love being the center of attention. Whether it’s familiar faces or new friends, I have no hesitation in approaching for pets and cuddles. I enjoy being picked up and handled, and I thrive on affection. While I have the spirit of a young pup, I sometimes struggle with calmness. I have high energy levels and a playful streak, so I’d love a home where I can stay active and engaged. My excitement sometimes gets the best of me, especially when meeting other dogs—I tend to be a little too eager and may try to mount them. This behavior can make some dogs uncomfortable, so I’ll need a patient adopter who understands my quirks and can help guide me with gentle training.   Social Skills I’m very friendly toward other dogs and love to meet them. However, I don’t always know the best way to interact—I sometimes focus too much on mounting rather than just playing. Because of this, not all dogs are happy to engage with me, so my new family should be mindful of my social interactions. I haven’t been around cats before, so I’m not sure how I’d react to them.   Energy and Activities I have a high energy level, and even though I’m a senior, I don’t seem to slow down! I need plenty of exercise and stimulation to keep me happy. Walks are one of my favorite activities, and though I can pull on the leash at times, I generally follow my person’s lead well. If I don’t get enough activity, I might become restless. I also have a strong tendency to vocalize—when I want attention or something exciting is happening, I won’t hesitate to express myself. My future family should be prepared for some demand barking and help me learn when to settle.   Training and Habits I am fully house-trained and can use both pee pads and outdoor spaces for bathroom breaks. I have no issues with food guarding and share well with both humans and other dogs. I experience separation anxiety and don’t like being left alone for long periods. When confined in a kennel, I tend to whine and fuss, so crate training might take some extra patience and encouragement. Because I spent years as a breeding dog, I developed a habit of mounting other dogs. This is something my future family should be aware of and help me work on through redirection and training.   My Ideal Home I need an active home where I’ll receive plenty of attention, exercise, and guidance. Since I have a strong attachment to people, a family that isn’t away for long hours would be ideal. Someone who enjoys spending time at home or can take me along for outings would be a great match. If my new home has another dog, they should be tolerant and patient, as my mounting behavior may take time to improve. A structured and consistent approach will help me learn better social manners.   Special Notes Even though I have early-stage cataracts in one eye, my vision is still functional, and I don’t require medical intervention at this time. Otherwise, I am in great health for my age! I am a sweet, affectionate, and endlessly energetic dog who thrives on love and attention. With the right balance of structure, training, and activity, I will be a devoted and joyful companion. If you’re looking for a playful, loving dog with a big personality, I might be the perfect match for you!   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jxmac509syhKcI_bodFHecq ##2315682##

Spay & Dental Care: In January 2025, I was spayed and had a full dental cleaning. Most of my teeth were removed, so I prefer soft food. Patella Surgery: I had surgery for my luxating patella (knee condition) in January 2025, and I’ve recovered well. No Known Allergies: I have no food or environmental allergies.I’m in great shape and full of energy, ready to bring joy and excitement to my forever family!   My PersonalityHi there! Regular outdoor activities help me feel happy and relaxed. After an active day, I settle down nicely and enjoy snuggling up with my favorite humans. Story
Meet James, a gentle and affectionate little pup with a playful spirit! This sweet boy loves to cuddle and is always up for a good wrestling match with his brother—despite being the smaller one, he usually comes out on top! James enjoys running around in the yard and playing to his heart’s content. He’s making progress with potty training—he does well when taken outside but still has occasional accidents and uses puppy pads. At night, he sleeps peacefully in a separate room with his brother. If you're looking for a loving, playful pup who enjoys both snuggles and adventures, James would make a wonderful addition to your home! ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Story
Meet Hey, a one-year-old spayed female Poodle-Bichon mix with a soft cream coat and a heart ready to bloom. Weighing in at just 5kg, Hey was rescued from a breeding facility in Geoje and has come a long way since. Once fearful of people and unsure of human touch, she’s now blossoming with those who take the time to earn his trust. These days, she’ll happily take treats from your hand and even trot over to say hello once she feels comfortable. While she might run off when you try to pick her up, she doesn’t resist once he’s in your arms—she settles in calmly, making her a gentle cuddle buddy. She’s also wonderfully behaved for grooming and bath time. Hey is a total social butterfly when it comes to other dogs. She loves meeting new canine friends, no matter their size, and will often approach them with friendly tail wags and an invitation to play. Having another dog in the home would be a huge help in her adjustment to family life, especially since she’s never known life without doggy companionship. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but based on her easy-going nature, she may very well be able to live peacefully with feline friends too. With a moderate energy level, Hey enjoys the outdoors but knows how to relax and recharge afterwards. She’s currently learning how to walk on a leash—right now, she tends to freeze up when it’s clipped on, so she’ll need some patient guidance. She’s not possessive with food, whether it’s around people or other dogs, and is used to both indoor pee pad training and outdoor potty time. Because she’s never lived without other dogs around, she may experience some separation anxiety, and she does tend to bark a little when meeting unfamiliar people out of fear. But with love, time, and gentle encouragement, Hey has all the potential to grow into a confident and affectionate companion. All she needs is a patient family ready to cheer her on through this next chapter of her life. View more photos and videos on Facebook: Link to Post Does Hey sound like the right companion for you? Send in your application today here or through our website:adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ AKR dogs can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston, etc) where we have flight volunteers.
