Story
Catalytic is a sweet, gentle girl who just needs a little love and patience before emerging from her shell. And while she may start out shy, once she feels safe, she'll want to follow you everywhere and have occasional playtime. She does best with calm adults and kids — slow movements and lots of cuddles go a long way with her. She's picked up leash walking quickly and loves to explore. She'll dig and spin to get comfortable on the carpet (so cute), and if you plop her on the bed when bedtime rolls around, she’ll sleep there all night, right by your side. Even though her foster has just started housetraining, this superstar has had no accidents inside and goes potty outside consistently…you just need to make sure you’re giving her lots of praise (duh). Her one potty quirk? She currently prefers the garage for #2, which is probably because distractions are her main hurdle, and, well, there aren’t many distractions in there. But let’s be honest…we ALL prefer some zen when we’re in the bathroom. The nitty gritty: There’s been no nipping, she’s great with kids, settles well in the car, and is food-motivated. She's shown interest in other dogs without barking or whining, and while there haven’t been any close meetings yet, her foster thinks she'd likely do well with another dog to follow, or in a solo-dog home. She's just a sweet little girl looking for someone to trust. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
U-Joint is a sweet gentle 5 year old toy Poodle who loves to be held and cuddled. He lets out quiet moans of happiness and relief when he is hugged tightly. Even with this tendency, though, he is totally okay on his own, and rarely barks or demands attention. He is very smart and has a cute “poodle trot”. He sleeps with his buddy separate from the other dogs. He gets along really well with our dogs. He waits to poo until he is outside. He currently has some tummy issues, but is being treated and is on the mend. He doesn’t display resource guarding, so no growling at all. Great around other dogs and people. He craves love and human touch, but is not possessive. He rides well in a car. He hasn’t been exposed to kids or cats, but he will be OK as he is so gentle. He’s a real sweetheart! -----

Story
Maybe it’s Maybeline, maybe it’s…Mudflap? You wouldn’t guess it from his name, but Mudflap has a strut. Head high, chest out, tiny little legs moving with the energy of a dog who knows he’s handsome, thankyouverymuch. He’s not here to blend in. He's a sweet, quiet, older gentleman with a big personality packed into a small frame, and once you've seen him pose for the camera after a fresh groom, you'll understand that this is not a dog who stumbled into confidence. He was born with it. Despite all that swagger, Mudflap is remarkably easy. He rarely barks, shows no resource-guarding behaviors, no growling, and sleeps through the night. He did great when guests came over, loves being around people and other dogs, and actually enjoys being groomed, which is very on-brand. He's working out his potty routine and mostly holds it until morning, with backup pee papers in his room just in case. Mudflap isn’t going to make a fuss or ask for much. He just wants to be near his people, get his regular grooms, and occasionally be photographed looking fabulous. Honestly? Same. -----

Story
Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi , my name is Teddy and I am a wonderful 5year-old male  poodle weighing in at approximately 8  lbs.    I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in Korea, where dogs like me endure unimaginable cruelty and hardship. Thankfully, compassionate rescuers saved me and gave me the chance to experience something I’d never known before, hope.  I’m a gentle playful and affectionate companion who loves being around people I have shown no known issues with other dogs and would enjoy a family who can shower me with attention and affection.  I’d do best in a home with a family who understands that rescued dogs need patience and time to adjust.    I love to walk and would be great on hikes . We recommend working with our skilled pet rescue trainer. My adoption fee of  $1,595  (tax-deductible and essential for supporting future rescues) covers Spay/Neuter.    DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations,  Deworming and Heartworm testing,  Microchipping,  Boarding fees, health certificate, and airline transport from Korea to Seattle.    For safety, all adopted dogs must have a GPS tracker or Apple AirTag. You can bring your own or purchase one from us.    Your support allows Ginger’s Pet Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to continue its lifesaving work and provide critical medical care for animals in  need.    Email  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  to request an adoption application or to learn more about me. Donations to help with vet bills at Greenwood Vet are always appreciated—they make rescues like mine possible.             May 14, 2026, 12:55 am

Story
Cheetah is a 4 year old 10 pound poodle/terrier. She’s soo sweet but very anxious. She’s very quiet, & stays in one spot and balls up and falls asleep instantly. When she eats she likes to move all the kibble out the bowl and eat it off the floor sometimes. She’s very shy. She has been around other small dogs and they get along great, but she doesn’t really seem to want to play with them. I do find her sometimes playing alone like chewing on a toy or even jumping on and off the couch for fun since that’s something she recently learned how to do. Overall she’s very sweet, quiet & loving. She sleeps the whole night, and in the be. She is doing well with potty training & pees in the dog park. Likes to pee in spots and does really well with popping first thing in the morning. She’s just very anxious, doesn’t like loud noises She is good with children, and sits well in a car. She is definitely food motivated. She’s just soo sweet, and she does this thing where she will just look into your eyes and do a little jump it’s soo cute.
