Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Roux was surrendered to us when her family has had big changes in their life.  We were able to get a lot of info on her.  She enjoys fetch or laying next to her people on the furniture.  While she doesn't play with other dogs, she lives amiably with them.  She just doesn't care for puppies or over the top youngsters is all.  She has always been to the groomer every 6-8 weeks.  Her new family needs a professional groomer, no home jobs.   She has food allergies and as long as you read ingredient labels and don't give her anything with grains, chicken or lamb in it, she stays healthy.  She will break out in hives if she gets those.  We keep her on single protein, grain free, Salmon food and duck treats, both from Costco.  So it's both easy and affordable to keep her healthy. She really is a fun, adorable little side kick for the right new family! Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 28, 2025, 2:32 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Bellamy came to us after her original rescue closed and her adopter's health failed.  We had taken in 4 dogs from a shelter's cruelty case and she came from the same group.  She looks like a toy poodle and we're not sure if she's pure or mixed.  She is friendly, delightful and so ready for a committed home and people who will adore her, take great care of her and love her for the rest of her life!  Her teeth were a mess initially and we believe that made the other give her a higher age guess.  In observing her, we don't believe she's older than about 7 years.  She's in perfect shape now.   If applying for her adoption, please note your groomer and their phone number on the application where it asks if you have anything else to add about yourself.  Home grooms are not permitted.  She was adopted by the other rescue and came to us with a matted, long coat and horrendously long nails.  She deserves to be well cared for from here on out.   Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 28, 2025, 3:16 pm

Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees but if the potential adopter wants to pay the fees we will accept PayPal. The call was put out for the need from several commercial breeders who needed some of their dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of the midwest. Of course they always want money for the dogs & of course once we know about them we are not leaving them & do what we have to do to help them. These innocent souls lives was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. They were one of the very lucky ones. On this day we rescued a total of 17 lives of mums, dads & puppies including Goldie & her siblings & her brother Oreo who she is fostered with. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Goldie how she is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home just as they are in their foster home. Goldie & her friends & brother were bought back to the WA state where she is now so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. What a beautiful little bundle of fluff, joy & happiness plus a whole lot of wiggles when you pick her up. This little lady is now loving life in her foster home. She now knows what toys are & loves playing with her toys & her freedom. She plays non stop with her gorgeous little brother & they love each other dearly. She also gets to be loved by 2 little girls who adore Goldie & her brother so much. She is extremely sweet but is very loving & a very cuddly little miss. She really enjoys snuggling with you & we know she adores being picked up & held & carried around to see what is going on. She adores being kissed & hugged by his foster family & being a free spirit doing her own thing. She can be very wiggly though when picked up so this needs to be taken into account. The reality is, the foster homes are her real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding she can snuggle up in, a roof over her head that’s not outside. Goldie is a wonderful eater. She adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something she did not get to experience ever until he was rescued. She currently sleeps with her brother as they are fostered together. She is such a very innocent puppy who just wants to be loved & to make up for her past. She loves everyone & is so very sweet. She is good with being bathed & groomed & tolerates the hairdryer. She would still need to be taught to walk on a harness & leash. She is a puppy & we have not taken her out anywhere. She still needs to learn his puppy manners. Goldie rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when she went to be sold & when we got her & going home & to & from the vets with us & her loving foster home. But she does absolutely amazing in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Goldie as you can imagine spent the first part of her life in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Goldie where someone is home during the day or she can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Goldie is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her. Goldie has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & she is currently with her sibling in her foster home. She will be found snuggled up with her foster siblings. She absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home for him to thrive in. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Goldie is roughly 6.2 lbs & he is roughly 1 year old & ‭a miniture poodle‬. She has put on weight since being in the rescue. What she is mixed with we are not sure. We treated her for coccidia & giradia as we do with all puppies. Female, she is spayed by laser, she is microchipped, up to date on her shots, including DHPP, bordatella & rabies. Beautiful Goldie is vaccine reactive & her eyes become itchy & swell & gets itchy all over. We have spent far more on Goldie with paying for her from a commercial breeder. Bringing her to WA with her travel costs, her transportation to WA. All of her medical care in WA & Omaha etc & bringing her to WA then her adoption fee comes close to covering. Goldie has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have had her around small children & she adores them but we do do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Goldie was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Goldie’s friends & siblings she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Goldie potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Goldie & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Goldie who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for the special sweet little Goldie. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Goldie has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

Martin & his friends & siblings were bought back to the WA state where he is now so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. It’s so funny to watch this boy run for the first time as he looks as though a big ball of fluff is running down a hall. You can definitely hear him when he is playing with his siblings & foster friends. He is not barking when he plays but lets out his adorable noises as he is having the time of his life. Martin is the best of both worlds, he will play but then be happy to snuggle up with you on the couch. He has not mastered stairs yet as his legs are too little. This little chap is now loving life in his foster home. He now knows what toys are & loves playing with his toys. He has been learning to go potty on material potty pads. At first he did not have a clue about anything at all but has picked up things very quickly in his devoted foster home. He absolutely loves his foster siblings & brother. The reality is, the foster homes are his real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding he can snuggle up in, a roof over his head that’s not outside. Martin is a wonderful eater & we know that he is obsessed with food with the amount of weight he has put on in his loving foster home with the good nutrition he is getting. He eats a clean diet meaning, raw fruits, vegetables, grains & proteins & is on supplements. He adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something he did not get to experience ever until he was rescued. Story
Quick Facts Name: Snow  Age: 9 years old (born January 2016)  Gender: Male  Spayed: Yes Breed: Poodle  Color: White  Weight: 5.4kg    All About Me Hi, I’m Snow! I’m a lively and affectionate eight-year-old Poodle with a fluffy white coat and a heart full of energy. Weighing 5.4kg (11.9lb), I may be a senior, but you wouldn’t know it from my playful and active nature. My past wasn’t the easiest—I likely spent my early years in a breeding facility before ending up in a city shelter. Despite everything, I still have so much love to give and am searching for a home where I can be cherished for the rest of my life.   My Personality I absolutely adore people and love being the center of attention. Whether it’s familiar faces or new friends, I have no hesitation in approaching for pets and cuddles. I enjoy being picked up and handled, and I thrive on affection. While I have the spirit of a young pup, I sometimes struggle with calmness. I have high energy levels and a playful streak, so I’d love a home where I can stay active and engaged. My excitement sometimes gets the best of me, especially when meeting other dogs—I tend to be a little too eager and may try to mount them. This behavior can make some dogs uncomfortable, so I’ll need a patient adopter who understands my quirks and can help guide me with gentle training.   Social Skills I’m very friendly toward other dogs and love to meet them. However, I don’t always know the best way to interact—I sometimes focus too much on mounting rather than just playing. Because of this, not all dogs are happy to engage with me, so my new family should be mindful of my social interactions. I haven’t been around cats before, so I’m not sure how I’d react to them.   Energy and Activities I have a high energy level, and even though I’m a senior, I don’t seem to slow down! I need plenty of exercise and stimulation to keep me happy. Walks are one of my favorite activities, and though I can pull on the leash at times, I generally follow my person’s lead well. If I don’t get enough activity, I might become restless. I also have a strong tendency to vocalize—when I want attention or something exciting is happening, I won’t hesitate to express myself. My future family should be prepared for some demand barking and help me learn when to settle.   Training and Habits I am fully house-trained and can use both pee pads and outdoor spaces for bathroom breaks. I have no issues with food guarding and share well with both humans and other dogs. I experience separation anxiety and don’t like being left alone for long periods. When confined in a kennel, I tend to whine and fuss, so crate training might take some extra patience and encouragement. Because I spent years as a breeding dog, I developed a habit of mounting other dogs. This is something my future family should be aware of and help me work on through redirection and training.   My Ideal Home I need an active home where I’ll receive plenty of attention, exercise, and guidance. Since I have a strong attachment to people, a family that isn’t away for long hours would be ideal. Someone who enjoys spending time at home or can take me along for outings would be a great match. If my new home has another dog, they should be tolerant and patient, as my mounting behavior may take time to improve. A structured and consistent approach will help me learn better social manners.   Special Notes Even though I have early-stage cataracts in one eye, my vision is still functional, and I don’t require medical intervention at this time. Otherwise, I am in great health for my age! I am a sweet, affectionate, and endlessly energetic dog who thrives on love and attention. With the right balance of structure, training, and activity, I will be a devoted and joyful companion. If you’re looking for a playful, loving dog with a big personality, I might be the perfect match for you!   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jxmac509syhKcI_bodFHecq ##2315682##
