Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.

Hi there! I'm Chewy, a 3-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix with a nose for adventure and a heart full of love. My favorite song is "Hound Dog" by Elvis, and just like the song, I ain't nothin' but a hound dog! I've lived peacefully with both dogs and cats, but I prefer to have my food all to myself. I've got a bit of a flighty history, so a secure fence would be perfect to keep me safe while I explore. My hound nose is always busy sniffing out new adventures, but when I'm not on a scent trail, I'm a total couch potato. Snuggles and pets are my favorite, and I love curling up in a comfy dog bed to dream about sniffing out moles and squirrels. I'm an old soul just looking for my forever home. Could that be with you?

The two boys rode into Sanford in the buggy in hopes of finding a place to care for them. The duo was full of fleas. Unfortunately not just fleas the two tested positive for heartworms. They also had other internal parasites. With the guidance of our vet both dogs have begun the slow kill method for the heartworms. We found him and his sister on the side of Highway 11 in Deland. They were both underfed and scared. We picked them up and they have been staying at my mother in laws house in Deleon but she does not have the time for them or the energy. He is more laid back than his sister. I would love for them to go together but know what is not always possible.
