Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Trooper is a handsome 5-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound weighing about 50 pounds, with a playful personality and a heart full of sweetness. He’s potty trained, crate trained, heartworm negative, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Trooper absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around to play with. He’s a goofy, food-loving guy who gets excited for meals, playtime, and spending time with his people. Despite being a hound, he has shown very little interest in squirrels or rabbits running nearby. Trooper can be sensitive to unfamiliar noises and sudden sounds. Things like sliding glass doors, air conditioners turning on, or men’s voices outside can startle him, so he’ll need a calm, patient home where he can continue building confidence and feeling safe. Because of this, he would do best in a women-only home and is not recommended for homes with children. With love, patience, and a predictable environment, Trooper will blossom into an incredibly loyal and loving companion for the right person.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 20, 2026, 5:54 pm
