Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Trooper is a handsome 5-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound weighing about 50 pounds, with a playful personality and a heart full of sweetness. He’s potty trained, crate trained, heartworm negative, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Trooper absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around to play with. He’s a goofy, food-loving guy who gets excited for meals, playtime, and spending time with his people. Despite being a hound, he has shown very little interest in squirrels or rabbits running nearby. Trooper can be sensitive to unfamiliar noises and sudden sounds. Things like sliding glass doors, air conditioners turning on, or men’s voices outside can startle him, so he’ll need a calm, patient home where he can continue building confidence and feeling safe. Because of this, he would do best in a women-only home and is not recommended for homes with children. With love, patience, and a predictable environment, Trooper will blossom into an incredibly loyal and loving companion for the right person.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 29, 2026, 9:50 am

Story
Rocket has been at the shelter for some time and would love to find his forever family soon. He's seeking an adult only home where he longs for the day he feels safe and loved, watching TV while chewing on his favorite Nylabone. Rocket has had a traumatic past; sadly losing trust in people. but never losing love for people. Rocket has a special staff member friend at Satchel's and is learning to trust and enjoy what life has to offer. He has a fear of "harsh corrections" and is scared of being "dragged" by his collar so can be apprehensive about anyone putting one on, but does walk very well on a leash. He is housebroken, crate trained, and very obedient, always wanting to learn new tricks and skills. Waterplay is Rocket's favorite outdoor activity, always being ready to play in the sprinkler. He loves to run in the backyard and enjoys playing with Frisbees, tennis balls, or his giant ball he can push around. Always followed by a cool down in the kiddie pool. If you have a calm home where Rocket will feel no threats, please consider adopting this 8-year-old boy. For an appointment to meet him, please submit an adoption application (no commitment) at Satchelslastresort.org.

Story
Lisa has mastered the art of soft entry. Emotionally, she eases into your life with this calm, gentle presence that somehow feels familiar almost immediately. Lisa came to Fluff Animal Rescue after her elderly owner could no longer care for her. She arrived with Mona, believed to be her mother, and while the two girls get along beautifully, Lisa does not need to be adopted as part of a pair. At approximately 5 years old, Lisa has that perfect middle-ground energy. She’s playful and interactive without acting like she drank four espresso shots before breakfast. In the studio, she was affectionate, engaged, social, and refreshingly balanced. Despite the paperwork saying Basset Hound/Beagle mix, Lisa feels much more like a Bassett/Lab blend. Story
There’s something deeply comforting about Mona. Maybe it’s the low-rider Bassett body paired with the sweet Labrador energy. Maybe it’s the soulful expression that makes her look like she already knows all your secrets and has decided not to judge you for any of them. Mona came to Fluff Animal Rescue after her elderly owner could no longer care for her. She arrived with Lisa, believed to be her daughter, and while they genuinely enjoy each other’s company, Mona is emotionally secure enough to fly solo. At approximately 8 years old, Mona has that beautiful balance that comes with maturity. She’s playful without being chaotic, affectionate without being clingy, and wonderfully easy to live with. In the studio, Mona was sweet, interactive, playful, and calm all at once. The kind of dog who checks in with you during the chaos instead of contributing to it. Despite the paperwork saying Basset Hound/Beagle mix, Mona feels much more like a Bassett/Lab blend. And according to her foster, she skipped the beagle “full-volume screaming into the void” package entirely. She’s not looking for adventure sports. She’s looking for connection. Apply through https://www.fluffanimalrescue.org Adoption Portraits by Urban Dog Studio through Pawsitive Exposure Project.
